Elephone are best known for their budget Android phones. Lately, however, the brand has been venturing into action camera arena. Elephone already have a couple of action cameras on the market including the Elephone Explorer and the Explorer Pro.
And now its turn for yet another one EleCam 360. As the name suggests, the EleCam 360 is primarily designed for VR and 360-degree video. The new EleCam is capable of shooting 360-degree videos in different modes. However, there’s more to the EleCam 360 than meets the eye.
The Cam measures 60 x 49,4 x 32,7 mm and weighs 104 gram. Cam will feature 0,96-inch display with 128 x 64 pixel display and SPCA6350M processor. Unlike some other 360-degree cameras you may have come across, this Elephone camera comes with not one but two image sensors on either side of the body of the camera. This results in a full spherical picture. Elephone will use the Sony IMX117 sensor with an f/2.0 lens on either side of the camera shell. Videos in 2 lens are seamlessly stitched. It can be previewed simultaneously in your smartphone.
Needless to say, the EleCam 360 will come with support for WiFi and 4K recording. The camera supports smartphone connecting android or IOS system. It is compatible with Android 4.2 or up / IOS 7.0 or up. The Cam is backed by a battery of 1500 mAh and should last for roughly one hour of the 1080p video recording. The Cam also comes with sufficient storage capacity which can be expanded upto 32 GB via microSD card. There will be dedicated control app available on both Appstore and Google Play.
