Huawei and Xiaomi likely to have flexible OLEDs in the future

Huawei and Xiaomi are both Chinese companies of recent origin. And still they were able to take on the world with their quality products and competitive pricing. And it’s understood that they are now looking forward to having OLED in their smartphones in the near future.

Two other companies, LG and Samsung are two of the biggest manufacturers of OLED displays. Both companies are making an effort to find newer applications to their products, it’s understood from the inside sources directly from Korea. Samsung is looking to find its footing in the arm of the industry where they still don’t have sufficient presence and that is the laptop panels. On the other hand, LG will step up the gas for the manufacturing of small-size OLEDs for smartphones.

Recently HP had brought a laptop having AMOLED display from Samsung, HP Spectre x360. LG, on the other hand, is still behind and hasn’t introduced the screen tech inside its smartphones, but for proof-of-concept G Flex series. These devices do make use of the bendable OLED screens. However, as this year progresses, there will be more developments for LG. The first thing is that it will employ more of OLED panels in its own smartphones. Secondly, LG will also start supplying both Huawei and Xiaomi with such displays for their devices.
