Xiaomi Redmi 4 will be powered by Helio X20 soc

Xiaomi so far unveils few smartphones this year. During the first half of the year, only Mi 5 is the most prominent notable smartphone. The device was the first flagship of 2016. A number of Redmi smartphones are released by Xiaomi during first two-quarters. It is also important to mention that Xiaomi so far sold above 100 million units of Redmi lineup devices. This shows how much Xiaomi mid-ranger lineup is successful and important for the company.

The Redmi 3 is one of the device Xiaomi launched this year and now from the look of things it seems like Xiaomi is now looking forward to releasing the successor device. As per latest reports from China, the upcoming Redmi 4 will be powered by a 64 bit Deca-core Helio X20 Soc. Unfortunately, this is the only detail which is leaked so far.

If this info is accurate, then the Redmi 4 will be quite luring for many customers if the price tag of the upcoming device remains affordable despite the Helio X20 Soc. The predecessor Redmi 3 was featuring an Octa core 64 bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 Soc.

Though this Soc was powerful and capable but has no match with the latest Deca-core Helio X20 Soc. The aforementioned Helio Soc is the most powerful Soc produced by the company so far.

As the launch of next Redmi device is still few good months away so at this time this info is quite interesting and we are not sure whether it is accurate or not. Last year Redmi 2 device was unveiled in January 2015 whereas its successor Redmi 3 was released in January 2016 so we can assume the next Redmi smartphone won’t be released until January 2017, which means a half year from now.

At the moment, it’s impossible to confirm the authenticity of this leaked info. As being an affordable lineup, we can expect same for Redmi 4 as well. The device is expected with a full HD compact display, a 3GB of RAM variant will be announced for sure.

Though Xiaomi is known for releasing at least two variants one with higher ROM and RAM while second with entry level RAM and ROM. The last two Redmi device was build using a polycarbonate material whereas for this year we can expect it might get an upgrade in the form of the metal body. Well, it’s a guess at the moment, we can expect a lot more to come regarding Redmi 4 ahead of its launch, stay tuned.
