The OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition has an 18K gold plated team logo at the back of the device. The smartphones saw a huge interest from fans in the auction on JD’s website and the auction started at 3999 Yuan ($607). Within 10 hours the customized version was sold for a whopping price of 88,914 Yuan (US $13,494 approx). The money raised from the OPPO Auction will be donated to a charity.
The OPPO R9 FC Barcelona Edition has similar specifications as the OPPO R9 model including a 5.5 inch display and Helio P10 processor. It has 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. The smartphone comes with a 16MP rear camera and is powered by a 2850mAh battery. Oppo had released the Barcelona Edition in two colors Blue and Red. The customized version comes with a 12K gold plated FC Barcelona logo at the back of the device with signatures from Messi, Neymar, Suarez, Rakitic and Iniesta. The smartphone has a customized UI theme as well. Oppo had earlier released an advertisement featuring the FCC Barcelona players as well.
