Oysters SF is the latest Sailfish OS smartphone

Finnish company Jolla is credited with the Linux Kernel based OS named Sailfish OS. The Sailfish OS supports most of the Android apps, and supports Android based Hardwares and drivers. Now there is a new sailfish powered smartphone in the market abut it doesn't come from Jolla, the maker of the OS, but from one of its partners. A Sailfish program partner of JollaPlural has announced a smartphone with some advanced specs.
The new device from Plural is named as Oysters SF. The device is a rather compact smartphone featuring a 5 inch sized display though we still don’t know what will its resolution be. The phone measures 141 x 71.5 x 9mm, while it weighs 140 grams. The device is fueled by MediaTek’s MT6753 64-bit octa-core processor at 1.3GHz Chipset along with the Mali-T720 MP3 GPU. The phone is also equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storagewhich is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The smartphone also sports a 13MP camera on the back, while there is a 5MP camera on the front.
The entire device is backed by a massive 3,000mAh battery. The phone is a dual-SIM phoneand will offer 4G LTE connectivity as well (LTE Cat. 4). The Oysters SF also sports a metallic frame which adds to its looks.
This is a mid-range smartphone and will be soon available in the Russian market. No details about pricing have been revealed until now. Stay with us, we’ll let you know.
