Cyanogen os 13.1 final update is out with new Mod features

The Cyanogen OS is currently the powering number of Zuk’s and Yu devices and was also pre-installed on OnePlus One. On the other hand, the CyanogenMod latest stable build is already out running on the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0 and aforementioned Cyanogen OS is whole different OS.

If you would like to know simply what mods are, then we can claim mods are the third party apps Cyanogen embedded in their OS which works perfectly baked into Cyanogen OS. However, the Cyanogen team is referring this concept as a post-app era and no doubt this idea is incredibly useful.

For example, if you use the Twitter app frequently, it can be integrated into your lock screen instead of the traditional widget, you can use Twitter by simply swiping on the left side of the display. Same kind of gestures can be used to use voice commands and other key features. The new smart voice assistant in Cyanogen OS 13.1 is much improved and you can also snap a perfect selfie by saying your device “take a selfie”

Another key social media app Skype is also integrated into the latest Cyanogen OS build. The team cyanogen builds it into the device phone application. Now user’s phone contacts and Skype contacts will be mixed and you can make a voice or video call by simply using the same phone dialer app. The convenience doesn’t end here because using dialer users can also use Skype out feature as well and even credits can also be purchased. So your phone dialer app is not a simple voice calling app anymore it is now providing much more than a single voice calling option.

The other new additions in Cyanogen 13.1 is the OneNote integration feature introduced for phone and email applications. With the OneNote feature, users can save their texts and can make notes which are required later. Last but not the least key feature of Cyanogen OS 13.1 is its camera Hyperlapse mode which is also baked using the new Mods approach. At the moment, the latest Cyanogen 13.1 build is available for the OnePlus One but if your device is launched with the Cyanogen OS build, you can also expect the latest update for your device pretty soon.
