Elephone W2 Review

Elephone-W2
You are looking for a wearable but do not want to give up on the classy looks of a regular wristwatch? Elephone’s new W2 Smartwatch aims to do exactly that. So, what does theElephone smartwatch do, and how well does it do it? . Can you get the most of the functions of a regular smartwatch, keeping a traditional design? Well, let’s find out.
Let me get the biggest feature of the W2 Smartwatch out of the way. Its battery; it is ready to compete with the very Xiaomi My Band and its 50-day , and the manufacturer behind this smartband. Elephone has made a very strong statement with the W2 Smartwatch that they can and will do what ever it takes to take back their Chinese marketshare.

Elephone W2 Design

What we find in the new Elephone W2? As you see in the picture above, it is one SmartWatch with classic design , ideal for parents and grandparents who do not want to give up your ordinary watch and have to deal with the fancy new touch screen watches, which they have a hard time understanding anyway, and if they don’t want to wear a separate fitness tracking bracelet.
Although it is a Chinese watch, its design is taken care of with immense detail, which is reflected in the materials used as well. Leather strap is interchangeable with a circular stainless steel and sapphire crystal for a durable and elegant looks all round. Usually normal watches with these materials would cost three times the price of the W2 SmartWatch.

Elephone W2 Main Features

The truth is that its traditional design can be seen as a small niche for some. And the fact that there is no digital screen that can be changing the field, but it can not modify it. In it, we can only see the time (wasn’t that the job of watches?). The advantage is that, the lack of display, thus maximizing battery in a spectacular way, but we can not interact with it unless we do it through the app. For example, when we receive a call, the watch will vibrate but we can not see who is calling us . The same applies to information about our physical activity or sleep tracking.
In this sense, we can consider the Elephone W2 as a hybrid between SmartBand and SmartWatch: with a classy design as a bonus. Good concept? Without a doubt, yes. Having choices is not that bad, especially right now as the wearable market in china is flooding with these SmartWatches with sub-par physical activity tracking.
As mentioned in the section on technical features, the watch is linked to your mobile phone via Bluetooth 4.0. With a pedometer you can see the steps you have taken and the distance traveled and the sleep monitor will track how well you are sleeping.

3 Months of Autonomy!

Just because of the low interactivity from the watch itself, the 210 mAh battery in the Elephone W2 can last up to three months without needing to recharge. A brutal autonomy of the moment probably no SmartWatch can match. In a segment where the average is around three days, no doubt Elephone has bet on the winning horse.
This is because virtually everything we do in terms of tracking is done through the app on your phone. A fairly intuitive app, seamlessly sync and from which we can control our activity. Have you purchased Elephone W2? Download your application with the QR code in the image below.

Conclusions, Price & Availability

Elegant design and compatibility with almost all smartphones at the moment, the new wearable Chinese firm shows us once again where it is going work for the company: when the battery life is one of its strengths, as we saw in the Elephone P8000 (which also have tested intensively for two months ), we are satisfied that manufacturers finally start listening to consumers.
True, it lacks some details that we did find in other devices, such as a greater variety of sensors (heart rate, for example), but its fantastic design compensates for these shortcomings. Finally something new and different in the market. Which is saying a lot, because the Chinese market is flooded with all kinds of SmartWatches.
We looked where the W2 is now available for purchase and we are left with the option that gives us Gearbest, with a very reasonable price. In addition, until February 5 is available coupon GBELE to get off with a few bucks.
