iOS 9.3 Major Update Features: Everything New In One Place

What’s new is the only question arises when a release like first beta of iOS 9.3 to developers made by Apple. It the third major update to iOS 9 seeded to members of those registered in Apple Developer Program, brings with it quite a few significant changes, including f.lux-inspired feature specifically meant to help users sleep at night, introduced with welcome changes to Health, Notes, News and carPlay as well as a preview of an all-new, new Classroom app and improved Apple ID management.

Outlined on a new Education Preview site. iOS 9.3 adds education-oriented features in beta, include shared iPads for students, an Apple School Management feature, and an improved Managed ID’s fubction. Today we will be discussing about those very changes and new inclusions, one after one.
Night Shift

For the unknown, Apple has borrowed ideas and implementations from jailbreak apps and tweaks in the past, like. Nigh Shift feature which doesn’t come as a surprise. Based on your geo-location, this f.lux-inspired feature will automatically shift the display’s hue to the warm side of the spectrum, because it specifically designed to cut down on the amount of blue light an iOS user is exposed to at night by shifting more yellow for the iPhone and iPad’s display. As suggested blue light exposure at night can dirupt the circulation rhythm, making it more difficult to fall sleep. Studies speak this about feature of Night Shift.
Settings are available in the “Display & Brightness” section of the app. There’s an option to toggle on “Blue Light Reductin” and set the display to be Cooler or Warmer. Still got a Schedule option, that lets users set a custom schedule or choose to turn on Nigh Shift from sunset to sunrise.
New 3D Touch Quick Actions

On the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, there are already new 3D Touch Quick Actions for several of the stock apps, including Settings, Weather, Compass, and Health as well as App Store and iTunes Store. Quick Actions of Weather actually let users see the weather at your current location or saved locations in the app. Health’s Quick Actions also provide access to the Medical ID or a user’s dashboard, whereas Compass now features an option to open directly to the compass or the level. Settings includes useful shorcuts for accessing Bluetooth, Battery, Wi-Fi, and Wallpaper options.
Options for the iTunes Store and Apple Store apps, Quick Actions now include “Update All” to upgrade all apps at once from the Home screen durectly, and “Purchased” for opening up to a list of all bought apps. For the iTunes Store, new options include “View Downloads” and “Purchased”.

Notes
Touch ID / Password Protection & Sorting For Notes App
New option found in the latest iOS 9.3 beta, to use Touch ID or a password to protect notes within the Notes app. Once enabled, Notes will ask for either the users’ password or a fingerprint when opening Notes that already been protected with a password. Protection for that Notes can also be set on a note=by-note basis within the Notes app. Settings to organize notes by Date Edited, Date Created, or Title are optional.

Better Suggestions & Other Improvements In Apple News App
Now offers better suggestions and other improvements and there’s also a landscape mode on the iPhone as well, fetches videos from within stories, letting user play them right within the feed. Suggests trending topics and Editor’s picks in the “For You” section to help users betterly discover content. Other new features include a new in-line video playback for videos in news stories, and faster content updating when opening the News app.
Health App – Third-Party Fitness Suggestions

In the Health App, when you’re viewing the Weight, Workouts, and Sleep categories, it offers links to apps you can download that will allow you to collect this data on Health. Now offers third-party app suggestions for tracking fitness metrics right on the dashboard, though it seems this feature may not be available in all regions.
Health also mirrors the Apple Watch movement, exercise, and stand data in a new “Activity” interface, where it displays your goals. However, the new interface and the app suggestions were not available on our iOS devices running iOS 9.3.
CarPlay: Apple Music Suggestions & Maps “Nearby” Features
Serveral apps in CarPlay has been updated to bring them in line with iOS apps on iOS 9. The Apple Music CarPlay app now includes New and For You sections for betterfy music discovery, and a Nearby feature in Maps offers high-end access to information about what’s close by, providing suggestions for local gas stations, coffee shops, restaurants and more. Compatible with the car-tailored interface called CarPlay embedded within iOS.

Apart from making CarPlay’s Nearby feature easier to look for fuel, parking, eating places and other points of interest in Maps, Apple also provided a comprehensive list of all the cars in the United States and other countries that offer CarPlay support, alongside iOS 9.3 release. List that includes more than 100 2016 and 2017 models from 22 automobile industries like Audi, Honda, Hyundai, Buick, Cadillac, Chervolet, DS Automobiles, Ferrari, Ford, GMC, Volvo, Suzuki, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagon, Citroen, Mitshubishi, Opel, Porsche, Peugeot and Mercedes-Benz.
Education Preview Introduced: A New Suite of School Management Features for iPad
In iOS 9.3, Apple included multiple Education-oriented features including shared iPads for students, a new Classroom app, an Apple School Manager, and of course an improved Apple ID managemenr features.
The new Shared iPad feature is specifically designed for educational systems where a 1:1 student-to-iPad ratio isn’t possible. But it makes the usage of iPads as public devices possible with the introduction of multiple user accounts, each of which offers access to their own data and app when logged in. A linked feature called Photo ID displays student’s photos on whatever iPad they have hands-on, making it pretty easier to find their tablet at the begenning of a class.

While the Classroom app is also present. With Classroom, teachers can launch the same app on all students iPads at the same time and guide students through the application. Reset students passwords, lock or launch apps on students’ ipads and point them in the right direction through shared screen experience called Screen View.
Apple School Manager is a web-based feature, designed to give admins a central location for creating Apple Ids, building courses, and nevertheless managing accounts for students, teachers and administrators. It allows admins to make volume purchases of books and apps and distribute the content quickly. Hosted over at education.apple.com.

Within the Apple School Manager, there are new tools for Managed Apple IDs, created through will be unique to that setup, and it works the same way how regular Apple IDs do. Admnins, on the other hanbd, can create Managed Apple IDs in bulk, assignb roles, reset passwords and more.
New educational features will be available to schools with the launch of iOS 9.3, nowthat provided to developers this morning.
Apple Watch on iPhone Support

With iOS 9.3 and watchOS 2.2, the iPhone is now able to pair with multiple Apple Watch wearables. Both updates are requured, with each watch running 2.2 and the iPhone running iOS 9.3. WatchOS 2.2 was seeded to developers alongside 9.3 beta 1.
Other Apps: Wallet, Apple Play and Live Photos
On the iPhone 6s, there’s a new option to save a full resolution photo from a Live Photo. Using the Share Street, choosing “Duplicate” now gives an option to create a Still Photo copy of a Live Photo. In Wallet and when using Apple Play, there’s new one option to open an app that’s linked to a pass or credit card. Siri getting Malay, Finish and Hebrew support, PDF synscing for iBooks in iCloud, taptic feedback when 3D Touching to access multitasking switcher and more can be found.
