This is Tim: Apple’s CEO on Q1 2016

Turning to iPad, we sold 16.1 million, compared to 21.4 million in the year-ago quarter.
Ouch. That’s a hell of a drop.
Gene Munster, Piper Jaffray: I know you can’t talk about new products, but any high-level thoughts on the virtual reality theme? Do you think this is more of a geeky niche, or something that could go mainstream?
Cook: In terms of virtual reality, uh, no, I don’t think it’s a niche. I think it can be… it’s really cool, and has some interesting applications.
Will an Apple VR visor be their next premium product? Although Apple still has the iPod Touch they could refine into being used with a headset (like Samsung uses their phones with the Gear VR), Apple tends to go for the whole enchilada — meaning their headset would have the screen(s) built in. To make it more expensive. To give people a reason to upgrade.
It’s very interesting that the subject of VR was raised. It’s casting a larger image on the radar.
More exciting news will be coming soon: http://ahappydeal.info/
