Just released is what the second beta of iOS 9.3 for those regsitered in Apple’s Developer program and it comes almost two weeks after first preview for both the Public Beta testers was seeded. This time around the iOS 9.3 beta 2 brings with it Night Shift, Touch ID Notes and New 3D Touch shortcuts. Details are placed below.
iOS 9.3 is of course a major update for iOS 9 which has been tweaked with a number of new features to iPhones and iPads. Unlike some of other recent releases, there’s a f.lux-like inclusion called Night Shift mode which reduces blue light automatically in the sunset timings to provide warmer colors for easy reading on the display. Gets the ability to connect multiple Apple Watch units (running watchOS 2.2 and above) to iPhone, multi-user support of sorts for iPad specifically designed for using tablet in educational sector. With the iOS 9.3 Beta 1.1 for developers included an installation fix, and adds features like OTA update configuration, which also brings with it hiding stock App Store apps and many more. Touch ID and secure passwords for Notes, as well as new 3D Touch Quick Actions and peek and pop gestures for iPhone 6s users are also introduced.
The iOS 9.3’s Notes app adds the ability to secure induvidual notes with one secure password plus Touch ID on compatible iDevices. Secxure notes are only visible on iOS 9.3 and OS X 10.11.4 or later version with no support for on iCloud on the web yet. iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users can access additional 3D Touch shortcuts with the iOS 9.3 beta 2 download. New shortcuts include quick access to battery, Bluetooth, Wallpaper options and Wi-Fi in the Settings app from the home screen.
Reportedly iOS 9.3 beta 2 has also introduced a revamped Control Center with the toggle for Night Shift mode. Here’s what it looks like:
For CarPlay users, iOS 9.3 also adds full Apple music experience with ‘For You’ and ‘New’ sections as well Nearby in Maps. In iOS 9.3, you all will get support for major education intiative with multi-user support and much more.
iOS 9.3 beta 2 update is available both as a direct download right now from Apple Developer website which can be used with iTunes and as a OTA update (Settings > General > Software Update) for updating IPSW firmware directly from the device in two different ways.
Currently iOS 9.3 beta 2 download is available to those registered members in Apple Developer program and will be seeded to those onj the company’s Public Beta program very soon.
