It was a surprise when Apple issued the first beta of iOS 9.3 download for members of Developer program, instead of iOS 9.2.1 beta 3, which has once again found its release cycle roll out with slew of updates coming all in one rhythm. By slowly introducing software betas to developers and Public testers for all of its platforms, Apple however has taken the oppurtunity to seed them all out in one swipe. Registered developers and testing Apple’s experimental release testers now have complete access to El Capitan 10.11.4 beta 1, tvOS 9.2 beta 1, and watchOS 2.2 beta 1. Pre-release version of iOS 9.3 beta 1 is also gone live.
Now that speaking about the first beta of OS X 10.11.4 El Capitan update, just comes one month after releasing the second OS X El Captan update – both the OS X 10.11.2 and OS X 10.11.3 are also in testing and has been provided to developers and public beta testers.
What’s new in El Capitan 10.11.4 beta 1
It currently offers unknown improvements. Fourth update to OS X El Capitan brings much like prior updates. The OS X 10.11.4 is likely to focus on security enhancements, performance improvements and bug fixes to adress issues reported with 10.11.3, which is curiously still in a pre-release state.
Next on tvOS 9.2 beta 1
Apple has provided the first true opportunity for developers of an upcoming update to tvOS for the Apple TV. Focuses on improved Bluetooth compatibility support for a Bluetooth keyboard. tvOS 9.2 now allows a keyboard to be paired to the ATV for text entry. It is one of the best features that was missing from previous version of tvOS 9.1 and its addition shuld make it much easier to carry out things like enter passwords.
With the tvOS 9.2 release, there’s also the introduction of native folders for application clusters. Folders on tvOS 9.2 includes support for grouping apps in the Home screen, similarly one can do on an iOS device. MapKit on new tvOS 9.2 allows developers to implement maps into their tvOS apps.
Siri tvOS support also includes for Spanish (in the US only) and French Candian (in Canada only), UK English, Australian English, and US English are now available in the UK, Australian, and US Storefronts when English is set as the tvOS language. Finally, there’s also a new look for the app switcher interface as part in tvOS 9.2. Podcasts app is also added into the fourth-generation Apple TV.
About watchOS 2.2 beta 1 changelog
Apple seeded the first version of an upcoming watchOS 2.2 update to developers. Finishes off the Apple release cycle for today, which actually comes just a month after the public launch of watchOS 2.1released. Runs the new operating system on the Apple Watch. Previous watchOS 2.1 version of firmware brought with it big fixes for the Calendar, the inclusion of Power Reserve Mode and more. Today’s release of watchOS 2.2 features are unknown at the far moment, but could address problems with third-party apps and may include support for several new languages. Now offers the ability to pair an iPhone with multile Apple Watch units as long as the Phone is on iOS 9.3. More welcome features in progress.
All oft-mentioned and given updates are available now to those with the genuine privilages and can be obtained via the usual software update mechanism for that platform. You can download it from the Apple Developer site and that too if you’re a member of the Program.
