Lenovo on Tuesday announced that their much-appreciated smartphone K4 Note has started getting the Marshmallow OS. Lenovo posted this information through their official Twitter account “K4 Note owners, rejoice! We’re rolling out the Android Marshmallow update to you starting today.” This is indeed great news for the users who were waiting to renew their smartphone with something good.
Back in April, Lenovo announced that they have sold half a million units of K4 Note since its launch. To celebrate this milestone, Lenovo once again made the VR free with the device.
Let’s wrap up the specifications of the device. Lenovo K4 Note has a 5.5-inch full HD displaywith a 1080x1920 pixels resolution and 441ppi pixel density. The display is protected by theCorning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. K4 Note runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and Vibe UI comes preloaded on the same. Lenovo at the time of launch promised that K4 Note will receive the Marshmallow update and the company is standing by its promise releasing the update for Indian owners.
Lenovo K4 Note is powered by 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory which is further expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual-SIM , 4G LTE, Wi-F, NFC, and Bluetooth. Lenovo has also added NFC and fingerprint scanner to the device for faster transfer and security.
