Ray Kurzweil to work with Googlers to develop chat bot

Renowned novelist and inventor Ray Kurzweil is deemed a tech legend, especially in the natural speech area. He has been working with Google as the director of engineering in natural speech since 2012.
He has already issued warning to the general public about a future horizon event- Singularity- when artificial intelligence will overtake humans in all respects and that the human mind will be translatable into data one day. This obviously means a lot of things for the human race- both good and bad.
With such an interesting prediction, analysts have been curiously watching his next step- wondering whether he could make an A.I. based chatbot and whether that bot will be able to pass the Turing test that allows humans chat with bots to see if the bots can be mistaken for actual humans.
And much to the delight of those watching him, Kurzweil has announced the exact project at a recent Singularity conference. The twist in the story is that he will be backed by a team of Googlers.
The chat bot will be named after a character in one of Kurzweil’s books, named Danielle, from a book titled Danielle. As a part of this, Kurzweil says anybody can make their own unique chat bot by feeding the program a sample of their writing to give it a feel for their personal style. It hasn’t been clarified whether its applicable to all types of writing or only natural writing like a blog or a conversation in a book.
An audience member questioned Kurzweil whether he thought it would ever be a possibility to have a meaningful conversation with A.I. Kurzweil answered that he thought this could become a reality in 2029. He did not elaborate on how he reached that conclusion but said that bots at that point will be able to pass the Turing test, possessing human-level language expertise “and everything that comes with it”. It does make one wonder about the implications of “everything that comes with” advanced natural language processing. Kurzweil’s advanced chat bot based on Danielle is set to be released later this year.
