Jawbone ends its fitness tracker production

Jawbone, the company that were one of the first in fitness tracker production is now looking forward to ending their fitness tracker production. As per the report the company has sold all their fitness trackers to a third party distributor marking the end of their production.

The company was idle for a period of time, as the other companies started to produce more fitness trackers during this period, the company is now struggling to attract customers for their fitness trackers. The company has a great future in fitness trackers but for them, it marks the end.

Apart from the fitness tracker production, Jawbone is also aiming to sell their speaker business too. Looks like the company is up to something else. The Jawbone Jambox was one of the first portable Bluetooth speakers that were launched in the market and had a great response in the market as well.

The company raised $165 million in funding this January, earlier this year the CEO Hosain Rahman said.

Jawbone had ambitions to develop a "clinical-grade" fitness tracker. The door still appears to be open for that to

happen, but it's feeling like the days of the company focusing on consumer-grade products may be at an end.

While others see a great future for the company both in terms of fitness trackers and speakers the company is moving away from both, without thinking of making a competition for their products in the market. Well, it is to be seen what the company is actually planning for themselves in the future.
