Samsung has been working on foldable phones technology and various patents have been filed by the company. Earlier rumors had suggested that Samsung's foldable phones will be coming as early as 2017. Now a new patent has surfaced online on USPTO which suggests that the device will come with a fingerprint scanner or iris scanner.
Samsung's Foldable phone project is reportedly called Project Valley and the company is developing a new hinge system for its new handsets. The images filed on USPTO hint that future Galaxy smartphones will come with a hidden port connector bar and will be folded in half. The smartphone will be charged will staying in the folded position.
The new patent on USPTO reveals that the device will come with a fingerprint scanner or an iris scanner for additional security. The patent was filed by Samsung in 2015, when the device will actually be launched remains to be seen.
Earlier rumors had suggested that Samsung has been testing its foldable phone with a Qualcomm snapdragon processor with 3GB of RAM and a microSD expandable memory slot.
