Parkman S1 and H1 Review

Parkman S1 5000mAh External Battery Power Bank Portable Charger Backup Pack USB 1A Input 2A Output

A couple of power banks today for review, claimed by family and delegated by Brennan as to who gets which! He wanted the blue til he saw the black, so said mum could have the blue one.
I’m a great fan of power banks, though they can be bulky so was delighted to get the chance to try this one with its slim and compact appearance.
I have one of the first I was given to review that I use all the time but its pretty big, and there are now many smaller ones which are perfect for popping in a pocket or bag and taking with you. Smartphones soon run out of charge given all we ask them to do, email, web browsing and of course the ever present Facebook, which many people have set to notify them of new posts. All that means a battery soon drains, so with this pack you’ve got that backup, and simply plug phone in and you’re away again. Not much use reading all those Facebook posts if when you need to make an essential call the battery is flat!

Its very well packed in its own box, fitted to avoided any damage while in transit. Its sleek and the one I have is a glossy blue, but there are four different colour options to choose from. Its so compact its easy to pop in a handbag or pocket, and ensure you’re always able to make phone calls. I like that its got two charging options, with the 2A giving a quick charge, not something all banks have. It has a cable for input/output but no Apple connectors but its simple to attach one of those and use if you have one. I find these tend to hold 2 – 2.5 charges for phones when full, enough to see the most avid user through the day!  I did find the glossy surface made it slippery to hold, a minor issue but one worth mentioning.
Its simple to charge too, just connect up to pc via the cable ( no socket adapter) supplied or a charging socket. I use my kindle one, sockets are quicker! It had four blue lights to show charging capacity. Keep it fully charged and you’ve peace of mind when out that you’re always contactable, or able to contact your family if you need to. I’ve found these so useful all the family now have one even 5 year old Brennan who wanted one for his Leap pad and dad’s Hudl.
Stars: Five, really useful device.

Its very well packed in its own box, fitted to avoided any damage while in transit. Its sleek and the one I have is a matt black, but there are five different colour options to choose from. I find the matt colour ones easier to grip than the glossy ones, they’re attractive but I’m prone to dropping them…. Its so compact its easy to pop in a handbag or pocket, and ensure you’re always able to make phone calls. It has 2.1A charging, which though tech stuff is beyond me I know from practical experience is quicker to charge than the 1.1A that comes with many of these devices.
