Zotac releases Magnus EN980, a liquid cooled VR mini PC

Computex 2016 has seen many technology releases. Zotac is definitely the one among them. Well Zotac have created a liquid cooled mini-pc, Magnus EN980, which can handle VR specsat a much reasonable price.

Zotac announced the product few months back, but it made its debut at Computex in Taipei. This small but powerful device posses a desktop-class quad-core 2.7GHz Intel Core i5-6400 processor and Nvidia's GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. Other features include 16GB of RAM and a 240GB SSD. But this lacks any additional hard disk drive.

The Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 and Intel Core i5 processor signifies it's very powerful to meet the minimum requirements for VR. So you'll be able to use this with the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift.

The key specs are:

• Small PC
• Uses two 180W power supply units due to limited space
• Liquid cooling helps keep component temperatures down
• Available from the end of June

Zotac indicates that the device will hit the market by end of June and with a starting price of$1,000. Well, you could be able to find the same specifications for cheaper price with a tower PC, but they won’t definitely fit as nicely into a small compact package.

Vivo X7 to replace Xshot range

Vivo has released its long awaited Vivo Xplay 5 earlier this year. The company took about two years to release the Xplay 5 version into the market. And soon after the original and excellent model Vivo Xshot launched, we heard about its successor. But seems the company is still in its production. And we have lost all hope of seeing the new device from Vivo.

Just at the right time, again a new rumour have surfaced that says the Vivo Xshot range will be replaced with a new model, named Vivo X7. Now it seems that we have speculated right about Vivo Xshot successor would never release.

However, we have already told you about the name of the latest device from Vivo. And here we are showing you the leaked picture of the new handset as well.

In the above leaked image, you can notice the same Vivo white faceplate. But this time Vivo has done something different in its new model, Vivo X7. We can notice, an oval physical home buttons just as similar as the Oppo R9.

The company haven’t released any other details about the specifications till now. But we are hoping to see the new device at the end of June. Well let’s see and you all stay tuned to us for more updates.

Meizu releases Flyme OS 5.1.6.0G and 5.2.0.0G for compatible devices

 Meizu has released the updated versions of Flyme OS Global ROM for the compatible phones. It has released Flyme OS 5.1.6.0G for the m1 note, m2, m2 note, MX 4, MX4 PRO, MX5, and PRO MX5. It has also made Flyme OS 5.2.0.0G available for the Meizu PRO 6.

At the moment, OTA update is not available and if you are interested in getting the latest Flyme OS version, you will need to download the correct file corresponding to your Meizu device from the official thread. But do remember that these are global ROMs for Flyme OS and not Chinese ones.

Google Home is Chromecast built in inside of speaker

During the annual 2016 I/O event, alongside the number of products Google unveiled a luring home solution as “Google Home”. Google Home has its own virtual assistant like theAmazon’s Echo speakers “Alexa”. Both companies’ products will be head to head in the market.

Even though Google promoted device well as it was indeed one of the most anticipated product of the event but still tech giant is silent regarding the inside of Google Home. Google just mentioned that this product will be available for purchase later this summer and its own virtual assistant is “Google Assistant” which is recently announced.

Well, as per the new report from The Information, the Google Home is internally featuring Chromecast which is built inside the speakers. The report suggests that Google Home version which was announced during the event was internally featuring a Chromecast, microprocessor, microphone, speaker, WIFI chip, LED light and plastic casing for speakers.

Now, the device is yet to be officially released and as per Google announcement it is still few good months away. There are chances, Google might release the device in the summer with new hardware. As we have seen plenty of times devices announced earlier with a release of few months away, companies release products with updated hardware at that time.

The Google Home production is in the custody of Google’s product management VP Mario Queiroz. It is important to mention Mario, is the one who built Chromecast that’s why it is not a surprise when we heard Google Home is featuring Chromecast inside. The Chromecast is the only successful Google product in the living room, and the reason behind its success is its low price tag and easy usability as compared to its competitors available in the market. The Google Chromecast is easy to use as compared to Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku.

The Google Home price tag is still in the dark but we can expect it to be slightly costlier than Chromecast. On the other hand, Google Home main competitor Amazon Echo is available for $179, so we can expect its price tag will be near to its main competition. This surely is a good news for Chromecast users as the announcement of new Chromecast enabled device is just around the corner.

First Pipo RK3399 Tablet PC 10.1inch Confirmed

According to the official news, Pipo RK3399 will take 10.1inch OGS screen with 2560*1600 screen resolution. It will provide the nice visual experience for users. Besides, there are larger screen after RK3399 Tablet pc.

RK3399 has the nice features to support 4K@60fps video and HDMI2.0, which can be applied into VR line but also improve the recreational functions for tablet pcs. We can see Pipo RK3399 sample, on one side of the machine interface, lined with three ports, MircoUSB, MircoHDMI, Type – C interface. It’s estimated that  after it is released, it can be used for VR glasses. Acer at the Computex 2016 event launched a plethora of devices. Liquid Zest Plus Android smartphone, affordable notebooks Switch One 10 and Switch V10, TravelMate P2 laptops for business, and much more were unveiled during the show. Our Mobilescout team was present at the event to pick some exclusive pictures of the Liquid Zest Plus smartphone for their folks.

Priced at just $199, Acer Liquid Zest Plus is not only known for its whopping battery capacity but also for the design and looks. Zest Plus has a mesmerizing look; it’s sleek and looks decent in hands. But, the material used in the making is plastic which doesn’t sound great and reminds of Acer’s previous smartphones. However, there are other reasons also to love this Android smartphone. Acer claims that the Zest Plus focuses the pictures brilliantly. The tri-focus feature of the 13MP rear camera helps the smartphone to take perfect pictures. The tri-focus is a camera configuration that consists of laser, phase detection, and contrast detection focusing.

Panasonic releases upgraded Toughpad FZ-B2 tablet with better SoC and Marshmallow

Panasonic has released an upgraded version of its rugged Android tablet Toughpad FZ-B2. The original version of the tablet was launched in last year and for this time, Panasonic has kept everything same (even the name) except for a better processor, latest Android Marshmallow onboard, and a USB Type-C port.

To start with, the upgraded Panasonic Toughpad FZ-B2 sports a 7-inch TFT display with 1200x800 pixels resolution. Under the hood, it has an Intel Atom x5-Z8550 SoC with Intel HD Graphics 400 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is an 8MP camera with LED flash at the back and a 2MP camera on the front.

The tablet offers 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded using the microSD card. The whole package is powered by a 3320mAh battery and ships with Android Marshmallow v6.0.1 with Android for Work. The tablet weighs at 540grams and measures 203 x 132 x 18 mm.

If you are interested in buying one, the sale starts sometime around June-end with price currently listed as €961 + VAT.

OmniVision launched 1.55-micron PureCelPlus-S OV12890 sensor for high-end smartphones

OmniVision Technologies a leading developer of advanced digital imaging solutions that has been empowering various smartphones with its award-winning CMOS imaging technology is now coming up with yet another sensor that will be used by the high-end devices. The latest OV12890 is a new 1.55-micron big-pixel sensor developed especially for flagship smartphones. The new sensor is built on the OmniVision’s PureCel Plus-S stacked die technology that delivers improved sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) with faster 12-bit readout architecture when compared with previous generation big-pixel sensors.

Such enhancements enable the ½.3-inch OV12890 sensor to capture ultra-high resolution,high-frame rate images and video with support for phase detection autofocus (PDAF). OmniVision claims that such features would add an attractive camera solution for the premium smartphones.

OmniVision’s latest OV12890 sensor will enable the high-end smartphones to take ultra-high resolution 4K2K videos at 60fps, 1080p full HD definition video at 240 fps via high speed D-PHY and C-PHY interfaces. It also enables the smartphone to combine the HDR like features in their camera interfaces.

OV12890 leverages the company’s PureCelPlus-S pixel technology to capture full resolution 12MP images and videos at 45fps.

OV12890 can fit into 10x10 mm modules with a z-height of 6mm. Omnivision’s latest OV12890 is currently available for sampling and is expected to enter volume production in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The last sensor OmniVision brought back in February was OV13870. It was aimed to enhance the camera quality of the devices even in low-light conditions.

OnePlus 3 6GB variant listed on TENAA

Rumors about the OnePlus 3 with 6GB RAM has been making the rounds for a while. The OnePlus 3 with 4GB RAM was spotted on TENAA earlier, now a new variant with 6GB RAM and 64 GB storage has been listed as well.

Apart from the RAM, the OnePlus 3 with 4GB RAM and OnePlus 3 with 6GB RAM variants have exactly the same specifications including 64 GB of onboard storage, so it seems like OnePlus is doing away with the 32GB memory variant completely.

The OnePlus 3 will have a 5.5-inch full HD display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution. It will have a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front shooter. The device will be powered by a non-removable 3,000mAH battery. According to rumors the upcoming device may run on Google's latest Android N OS. Other specifications of the device include Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC which combined with 6GB of RAM could make the OnePlus 3 the flagship killer of 2016.

The company has been promoting its upcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone for the past month now. A few days back OnePlus CEO had shared a selfie taken from the handset. In May this year, OnePlus has unveiled a program where users can get their hands on the upcoming OnePlus 3 before the official launch of the device. The program is called “The Lab,” that involves OnePlus's biggest fans giving a “comprehensive community review” about the new device.

This zip will wipe all of your Data you have been warned.
Download the recovery image and the rom zip, rename the recovery image to recovery.img and place it on the root of your FAT32 formated ExternalSD card along side with the rom zip.
Completely turn off your device, okace the ExtenalSD on the box and power it on while pressing the reset button. TWRP screen should appear. You need a mouse to navigate in TWRP.
Click on install, and select the rom zip file. Confirm and flash.

(it's recommend that wait our OTA to resolve that if you are not in a hurry)
1,Root X6pro
2,Run a ES explorer which with root access
3,Delete GoogleLoginService.apk in the ES
4,Restart the X6pro
5,Sign in Google playstore again
6,Unroot X6pro



1. You root it by using this tool. http://apidl.zidoo.tv/zidoo_x6/OnkeyRoot_1.0.6.apk Download it onto a USB stick and install it on your box. Then open the app and just follow the instructions
2. Download ES File Explorer from here http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/es-glo...s-file-explorer-4-0-5-3-android-apk-download/ onto a USB and then install it.
3. In ES File Explorer under "Tools" on the left switch on Root Explorer, you should get a pop up asking you to grant/deny permission. Grant it.
4. Then under "Locel" on the left select the "/ Device" directory. That's your root directory
5. In "search" along the bottom type in googleloginservice, the folder will pop up, go in there and delete googleloginservice.apk
6. Reboot
7. You'll now be able to login into the play store.

Performance

 

As for the processor, find ourselves with an MTK6580 SoC Quad-Core that runs at 1.3 GHz, we’re talking about a high-end processor mostly used in mid-range smartphone, this provides this smartwatch with a powerful build capable of delivering a smooth performance in almost everything you can think of.

We also have a Mali-400 GPU; this is a discrete processing unit that will be more than enough so that we can enjoy the visual quality of the smartwatch, as long as we don’t push it too much. But something we can have guaranteed is the smooth interface browsing and good performance in your everyday apps that don’t require a high-end GPU.

The RAM memory is really generous considering we’re talking about a smartwatch, it counts with 512 MB which is a solid number, and thanks to this amazing amount you can expect an excellent performance when running multiple apps at the same time.

And last but not least, we have the internal storage memory, on paper it looks promising, 4GB for a smartwatch sounds amazing, but there’s something we don’t know yet and that something is the memory that is occupied by system data, but we also have to consider that the memory remaining amount of memory might be more than enough to provide a good storage capacity, at least when it comes to watches.

Something we have to point out is that this device doesn’t count with external memory support.

This notebook is mostly made of plastic, but it is a high-quality plastic that feels very sturdy and secure. It is a bit similar to its predecessor DEEQ A7 in design, but when it comes to performance they are very different for sure.
