Lately Elephone released an active noise-cancelling earphone - ELE Whisper, which was developed jointly with China Aerospace. This earphone combines noise reduction with HiFi, enable its users to enjoy high-fidelity music listening and hearing protection. Elephone kinda starts a new era of active noise cancelling HiFi headphones.
This earphones uses aircraft active noise reduction (ANR) technologies, built in with highly sensitive microphones, accurate noise reduction circuit system, high-fidelity (Hi-Fi) speakers and other hi-tech components. To choose a headphone, the first concern is its sound output. Apart from the raw sound and the shell design, internal components count much.
To accomplish noise attenuation, the microphone obtains and detects the raw noise signal from the outside environment. The circuit then generates an anti-noise signal that destructively interferes with the noise signal.
Lastly, the speaker required feeds the generated wave to the music and the noise wave in order for the generated wave and the noise wave to destructively interfere with each other (As the figure shows). Though the headphones play the music, the noise waves, and the generated waves, the destructive interference allows only the music to be heard by the listener.
For many audioholics, the ambient noises are very disturbing while enjoying musics in the outside or on an air travel.
However, turning up the audio volume might be dangerous for ears.
ELE Whisper has the ability not only to mute ambient noise, also to ensure the raw sound without much demage.
