Xiaomi to increase Mi Band 2's production to meet consumer demand

Xiaomi’s popular and affordable fitness band, the Mi Band 2, was launched in China in the starting of June. But it went on a short supply soon after its launch which led to many retailers selling the device at high price.
Just to give you a sneak peak, the Mi Band 2 comes with an LCD screen along with a round physical button. It displays information such as time, date, step count, heart rate and calorie count, in addition to notifications for calls and messages. The new band also features Bluetooth wireless connectivity to pair with smartphones. The device is IP67 water and dust certified, has a 70mAh battery which will last for about 20-days, and costs 149 Yuan. The new band is compatible with devices running Android 4.4 and above as well as iOS 7.0 and above.
According to the latest piece of information, Xiaomi will double the production of its Mi Band 2 which will then be freely available in October to meet its huge market demand.
Presently, the smartband is not even available on Xiaomi’s website.
