Xiaomi Mi 5s will feature a 5.5-inch display not 5.15-inch

We aren't getting too frequent rumors or speculations for the Xiaomi Mi 5s device which is said to be an high-end smartphone from the company. Mi 5s is believed to an updated version of the Mi 5 that showed its presence at MWC event. Why is Mi 5s believed to be a better device over the Mi 5? This is because the specifications and special features it holds.

According to the previously leaked rumors, Xiaomi Mi 5s will have a pressure-sensitive display which will enable functionality akin to Apple's 3D Touch. We were also told that Xiaomi Mi 5s will flaunt in a 5.15-inch 1080p display but a fresh rumor says that the device will rather feature a 5.5-inch display. This is comparatively larger than the display of a Mi 5 that launched with a mere 5.15-inch display.

Apart from this, all the other specifications are in line with the previously leaked rumors. This includes a full HD display. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with a 6GB RAM. There is also a fingerprint sensor for the security purposes.

The very first rumor came in early April also suggested that the company will deploy a curved display on their yet-to-come Mi 5s device like S7 Edge. However, no other rumor surfaced then that could make this information concrete.

As narrated in the previous week, Xiaomi Mi 5s is expected to launch in the second half of 2016. So, we will have to wait more in order to see the device live in action. Stay tuned.
