Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe: The first Snapdragon 821 phone

Asus surprisingly announced the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, which is the first Snapdragon 821 based smartphone. Apart from the latest processor, the device would hit the market with a 5.7-inch 1080p display, a 23-megapixel front-facing camera, 3,000 mAh battery, USB 3.0, and up to 6GB of RAM.
Snapdragon 820, the mighty predecessor of 821 was included in almost every top-end Android phone this past year, including the HTC 10, Galaxy s7, and Xiaomi’s Mi 5. The new chip got a quad-core CPU runs at 2.4 GHz, which boosts the performance by 10 percent.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 821 processor will only be included in the top model of Zenfone 3 Deluxe. Asus will release some other versions including Zenfone 3 and the Zenfone 3 Ultra. The devices includes a 4GB RAM model with a 32 GB storage space and a 6GB RAM model with 64GB. Features like Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Super AMOLED display, NFC, 3000mAh battery, and a 23 mega-pixel main camera with F2,0 aperture will be included in each Zenfone 3 and also, the devices will be much more affordable.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe will cost NT$24,990 or $780. The 820 versions of the Zenfone starts at NT$15,990 or $500. Smartphone lovers will be waiting eagerly to see how it performs on benchmarks once it is out.
