Alcatel unleashes Idol 4S with VR Goggle; pre-sale to start July 15 at $349.99

Alcatel has announced the IDOL 4S earlier in February at the MWC 2016. The company has now outlined that the device will open for pre-orders in the U.S. starting from July 15 at 11:00 AM EST, while pre-sale orders shipping early August. The package will be bundled along with VR goggles, which is a tempered glass screen protector, JBL headphones and an Incipio protective case. And the price for the entire package has been tagged as $349.99 during the pre-order only. Whereas, the Official orders will begin from August 3, and the Idol 4S will be priced at $399. The device is available exclusively on Alcatel's online store at launch and is compatible with all GSM wireless providers in North America. Alcatel has released a purchase financing options for its customers as well and planned to make IDOL 4S available at just $37 per month.

The Idol 4S is almost having the similar specification that we saw previously at the time of announcement. But notable it now features a Synaptics' fingerprint sensor technology to the rear of the device. The other tech specs of the value-packed IDOL 4S can be listed as a display screen of 5.5-inch QHD, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 16-megapixel rear camera and a 3.6-watt JBL certified speakers with Waves Audio.

"IDOL 4S represents Alcatel's commitment to offering more than just great hardware; it is our commitment to providing a richer, experience-driven value that offers a more emotional connection to how consumers use and enjoy mobile technology in their lives," said Steve Cistulli, President and General Manager for Alcatel, North America.

On our part, we’ll wait and see whether this new flagship of Alcatel performs well in the U.S.
