Why It's Critical to Keep Your Software Updated

Why It's Critical to Keep Your Software Updated
The software is every where; you can not live without it. For those who grew up in the '80s and' 90s, remember the passion for desktop hardware, RAM change, hard drive, processor etc ... it's fun and easy to give helpful help to your computer. Now, with the exception of mobile phones, the hardware is provided in the back seat and the software is front and center in many ways. Software layers are constantly growing: we have software that works like firewalls and virtual machines that replace hundreds of physical appliances, and these are Six best way to avoid virus from attacking your PC. We can live or die through software in our lives and in our business environments, so it's important to keep them up-to-date.
If I tell Cybersecurity, the attack on the surface has increased over the past 10-15 years and is not slowing down. It provides an attacker with more vectors, or opportunities, to invade you or your business. Wherever you have software running, whether you know it or not, becomes a hole that can be exploited. Everyone loves those who are connected to "secure" wifi door locks for your home, so it's convenient, right? True, they can be, but they can also be hacked in minutes with a minimum of effort - there is a 42-page guidebook on how to Defcon, an ethical hacker organization, showing the world of ease.
So what does this mean for you and your business?
This means that software must stay up to date as quickly and safely as possible. It reduces the attack on the surface, giving a criminal hacker, fewer points of weakness to exploit. You do not want to be in the press. Some of the larger companies, the last being Equifax, have become media attention centers because they have all failed to repair parts of the network. We leave it to those who would like to know more about this particular example - Equifax Data Breach 2017.
Reasons to keep your software up-to-date:
SECURITY! For the above reasons ... do not make it easy for an attacker to exploit a known vulnerability. You can try this 5 Internet Safety Tips to Keep Your PC Secure Online.
STABILITY - In general, software updates not only reduce security vulnerabilities that can reduce your systems but stability increases to reduce them for something else.
Compatibility - The new software wants to sit in the new software, if you want to meet in a few hours you will have to keep up to date.
The test will be your best friend: always test your software on non-critical hardware and in test or non-test environments. You want to keep your software up-to-date, but you do not want to break anything in the process, so test, test, test, and then deploy.
Protect the updates of your company and your employees - so it's worth the time and the attention. If your business needs help with this topic or anything related to cybersecurity, contact us to find out how we can help protect your business.
