Zopo has announced July 20 as the launch date for its Speed 8 smartphone in India. The phone was made official at the MWC 2016 event earlier this year with Moto GP champion Jorge Lorenzo present at the launch. The USP of the phone is that it is the first-ever smartphone to be powered by deca-core chipset MediaTek Helio X20.
The Zopo Speed 8 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display which has pretty much the standard display size and resolution for phones especially in the mid-range price segment. The phone has 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a 21MP rear shooter with Sony IMX230 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, and phase detection autofocus with fast focus in 0.2 seconds. On the front, it has an 8MP camera with OV8856 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash.
The whole package is powered by a 3600mAh battery with fast charging support. On the software front, it runs on Android Marshmallow v6.0 and has been made available in Black and Silver color options. While the phone was announced at $299.9 during its official unveiling, the Indian pricing will be announced at the launch event on July 20.
