The Xiaomi Notebook is expected to be an ultra slim device with a long battery life. The laptop is expected to complete with the MacBook Air 2016 and the MacBook Pro 2016. It will be powered by an Intel Atom processor and will run on Windows 10 operating system. Earlier rumors had suggested that the Xiaomi Notebook will come in three variants including 12.5 inch, 13.3 inch and 15.6 inch variant. The notebook is also expected to pack a camera. The base model of the device is expected to be priced starting at $450.
The Xiaomi notebook was expected to be launched in the first half of this year, but production was delayed and the tablet will now hit the shelves in the second half of the year. The company expects to ship 1 million devices in the first year.
Xiaomi is planning to launch a number of devices at the event including a dual-camera clad Redmi Note 4, Mi Note 2 and other mobile gadgets. We will know more details as we near the launch event.
