GoPro has been struggling for a while in the market to increase their sales, with the GoPro Hero 4 being their latest device the company is struggling with the price point. Well, the company will have to face more competition as Xiaomi officially launched the Yi 4K action camera for $249.
Xiaomi launched the Yi 4K camera earlier in China and was impressive with the performance.The shooting camera was able to capture high-quality shots with the 12MP Sony Sensor with F2.8 aperture. The camera is equipped with the powerful Amberlla chipsets, still, the camera is available at a significantly low price compared to GoPro.
The current versions of the camera that is available in China only feature the Chinese UI, the device will officially go on sale in the US from July 12th with the price tag of $249, which is highly affordable compared to the GoPro Hero which is priced at around $499. The device is expected to come with multiple language support from now on.
The device is available for pre-order on Amazon.com for $249, you can get the device for $279 bundled with a Sandisk 64GB microSD card. The device is expected to launch in Europe and other countries in the coming months.
