Acer’s hope at competing with the NVDIA Shield gaming tablet, the Acer Predator 8, has finally been made available to pre-order.
Costing $299.99, the Predator 8 has an 8-inch Full HD display and runs on an Intel Atom Z8700 (X7) processor clocked at 1.6GHz with 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage.
It features dual haptic motors for deeper gaming immersion and its quad speakers provide virtual surround sound.
It accepts microSD cards for data and saves and runs Android 5.1 OS.
To keep the gaming going it has a 4550mAh battery, good for eight hours of play.
It supports WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, and packs in a 5MP camera and a 2MP front facer.
