On the Mac you can use Senuti https://www.fadingred.com/senuti/ To pull music from your iPhone/iPod to the computer.
Alternatively PhoneView http://www.ecamm.com/mac/phoneview/ will also allow you to pull the tracks off the phone, along with voicemails, messages, call logs, and a bunch else.
Senuti integrates with iTunes well and is able to determine if you already have the song, so you'll have less trouble with duplicates.
