Wireless Earbuds Syllable D900s Review

These d900S headphones are both common place and unique. The idea of wearing a Bluetooth to listen to music and answer calls is quite common. They come in so many forms it’s hard to keep track. But I personally use the regular, twig-in-the ear kind and my son uses the necklace type. This is both of those, yet, neither.

And if you watch my video review, you’ll hear how hesitant I am as I say things. It’s because I am still not confident that I fully understand the full reach of this Bluetooth set. But here is what I do know:

The sound felt much richer than what my other Bluetooths produced, everything was very clear. It also can get ridiculously loud, so if you are nearing deafness, or just want to get there, these might help.

Like my twig-in-the-ear, you stick it in your ear and there is nothing else around your body to concern yourself with. No wires no neckband, nothing but a button in your ear (smaller than my twig because it doesn’t have the arm reaching for the mouth).

Like my son’s necklace, it has two earpieces, and you can choose to have one ear filled with music, or one open for other sounds.
These have only the one button, so everything is controlled by long and short presses.

Unlike both of those, you can keep one for your ear, share one with whoever you are hanging with, and both listen to the same source without disturbing others in the room. Like, for instance, if you were at a doctor’s office, waiting the whole hour for your turn to see someone who insists you respect their time, but doesn’t respect yours. You have your child with you and you are both bored and neither of you feels like watching the Murry Show they have in the waiting room. Well, you can both watch YouTube or Netflix - or whatever is your style – on your phone or tablet, and not bother anyone else in the room because each of you is using one ear piece (and since you have one ear open, you’ll still hear the nurse calling you).

That’s just one idea of why this would come in really handy. Your life will determine others, I’m sure.

As for the box that they come in – that is the charger. The box charges through a USB, and while it is charging, you can also be charging the headphones. But then you can store the headphones in the box (in your purse, or car or wherever) and use them when needed. When they are low, you have the box to give them a boost of power (you do have to put them back in the box and rest the metal tabs in place then turn on the charge button). So, you charge them with the box, you store them with the box, and you can charge on the go with the box.

Pairing – for me – was both easy and hard. (See?!! This is the most complicated review I have EVER written!) The path to pairing seems simple, once I understood it. But I tried a few times without success. But once it worked, it really worked. Here is how I paried the two together. Start with both ear pieces off, then press the button on the L (the secondary one) and keep pressing until you get the flashing of blue and green.

Once you have that, release and pick up the R (the main unit) and press and hold that button until you get the same blue and green flashing. I think here is where I would mess up a lot, I would see flashing and stop. But it was red flashing or anything but blue and green. Keep pressing until the flash is blue and green. Once you have that, release and wait. Both will flash for about ten or fifteen seconds more, then turn a steady blue. You are done.

Hope that helps.

**Always take note of WHY a person liked or disliked a product, rather than going off the star system alone - Many products can be used with different intentions, and the way you intend to use it or what you need it to accomplish may not be what the person reviewing it used and rated it for. **

I received this item for little or no cost with the promise that I would try to properly explain the product. I hope it has helped you understand if this is going to be a good fit in your life.
