NFC Tap to Pay feature is reportedly coming for Windows 10 Mobile

The last date for the free Windows 10 Anniversary update is fast approaching, with more bug fixes and UI updates than actual new features. But turns out Microsoft is not done surprising people as yet. New reports have emerged that NFC Tap to Pay for Windows 10 Mobile and the Wallet 2.0 app is now available for the update.
The folks at Windows Central managed to lay their hands on an internal build of the new wallet app. Author Daniel Rubino's Bank of America Business MasterCard and American Express corporate platinum were not eligible for Tap to Pay. This is the same for Apple Pay as well because the banks have to set it up from their side to include the associated security.

But his personal Bank of America debit card did work and he set it up after verification from the bank. A quick trip to his local McDonalds store proved that the function worked and you could easily use a Lumia 950 plugged into NFC Tap to Pay for purchases.
The NFC option also works with certain Loyalty cards, which is pretty neat. As of now, the available list of merchants, including BestBuy, Eddie Bauer, Lowe's, Office Depot, Safeway, stands at 45. Users can easily add their favorite cards to the list by entering the info into the Wallet 2.0 app.

Currently, it is yet to know which countries will have access to this new functionality other than the US. We are keeping our fingers crossed that the company will waste no time inrolling it out as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay continues to gain popularity.
