But until now, VR headsets haven’t really won anything on the aesthetic side of things. Sure, the HTC Vive has great functionality, but it’s a bit of an eyesore when you’re prancing around your home.
One of the reasons we love the Dlodlo V1 VR glasses is that they by and large include the same technology we’ve seen from the likes of Samsung, Oculus and HTC, but go for a more minimal look; with their design looking like your traditional pair of sunglasses. They’re cast from aluminium with an anodic oxidation layer to help keep them completely scratch proof.
The dual-lenses of the V1 glasses offer a complete VR experience, with users able to take advantage of the on-board app store to expand on its suite of features. Plus, despite their minimal shape, users can still expect a 100-degree field of view, which is comparable to many of the leading headsets on the market.
No news on a release date, as of yet, but we’ll update when we no more.
