Detailed Review about Chuwi Hi12

We have categorized the most interesting aspects of the tablet in the following headings and the other common aspects under one heading.
Design and Appearance
We will later analyse the technical data in depth, but first we must start from the outside shell of the amazing Chuwi Hi12 from the Asian land.
Chuwi Hi12 Dimensions
From the picture shown above we can clearly see and determine the button placement and the design of the tablet. The physical dimensions are 296.7 x 202.8 x 8.9 mm and weighing 852 grams, making us clear that this time we are not facing a lightweight, but a bulky one. Although the weight is equal to a brick but it’s okay when we compare it with the size of the tablet and the capacity of the battery.
As far as colors are concerned, the current model comes only in one combination blank white front, rear edges and a golden beige tone that gives a very elegant look. The tablet is really nice, but maybe it’s a mistake not to offer it in black for those frugal customers betting on the classic.

The only cons that decreased the design score was the large edges surrounding the screen of Chuwi Hi12. Removing the frames is always a good step as it decreases the weight and thickness but this time the tablet is a little bit thick and heavy due to the presence of large frame.
Chuwi Hi12 Stylus
At the top are buttons on / off and volume +/- . Meanwhile, on the left side the whole arsenal of ports and connectors is located.
Connectivity
The downward side is reserved for both of the speakers and the connectivity of the stylus. Meanwhile, on the the left are the ports including 3.5mm jack, microUSB, USB 2.0, a microHDMI and a slot for memory card. The best thing is that unlike the recent tablets Chuwi Hi12 has a separate USB 3.0 port.

So, what is missing? You know, like the traditional tablets, the manufacturer has completely forgotten to add a SIM card slot. Thus, making the tablet to lack 2G, 3G or 4G connectivity. Other wireless connections includes Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi etc.
Screen and Display
Now moving to that aspect which makes the tablet worth of buying, “The screen”. The size of the display of Chuwi Hi12 can be judged by the name ‘Hi12‘ which is 12 inches. Just the addition of the keyboard enables this tablet to compete with your laptop. Indeed the size is large making it perfect to watch movies, play games and listen to the music.
But further its resolution is spectacular.  2,160 x 1,440 pixels, or same as, 2K. Accustomed to Full HD tablets that we have repeatedly boasted, reaching the 2K is a success.Needless to say thatthe picture quality is simply stunning, both in terms of color, brightness and contrast, and sharpness. The Chuwi Hi12 is a machine ready to strike a blow on the table and show that the Chinese tablets can also be be among the best.

Other features
In terms of performance, the Chinese tablet is on the run. The heart of the tablet is a Intel quad core processor ‘Cherry Trail Z8300‘ having a frequency of 1.44 GHz. The CPU is further supported by the new Intel Eight-Gen GPU(800 MHz) and 4 GB of RAM. The massive size of RAM doesn’t limit the tablet to work only but for gaming and video playing as well.
The internal memory is 64 GB, which is a little bit less when it comes to running the tablet onWindows 10 OS. The windows itself consumes a lot of space. But, don’t worry because the option of adding a memory card up to 64 GB has been provided. So you have a total of 128 GB space in the tablet.
Chuwi Hi12 Windows
Coming on the multimedia aspect, the tablet is great for running all types of formats as you know it’s Windows 10. The addition of rear and front camera is also good for video chatting and taking pics. Although, they are not professional but they show a good result as compared to the other tablets in the market.

When it comes to a machine which is so powerful like this one, it should also be good at the battery.  And although 11,000 mAh battery is one of the strengths, but keep in mind that all this hardware consumes enough, so we can not wait for two days to finish the battery after an intensive use. The manufacturer promises about 4 hours intensive use, quite acceptable considering the machine at hand.
