requires root access as it will modify the settings data base that contains the android id value in a system data directory.

The Helio P20 is set to come at some point this year
The Helio P20 is set to come at some point this year, but with Helio X20 manufacture not kicking off until April (ish) don’t expect the P20 in a phone until at least summer.
So a long wait, however when the chipset does arrive it will be built on a 16nm process to ensure a faster more efficient SoC. Although its still very early days yet and the P20 specs haven’t been released we expect Mediatek to give it some sort of combination of A72 and A53 cores (perhaps 6 x A53 and 4 x A72?).
If Mediatek continue at this pace a Helio X30 should be on the cards for the last quarter of 2016.

Security issue found on Mediatek Android Kitkat devices
Mediatek has confirmed that a ‘potential security issue’ has been discovered on certain smartphones and tablets that are running Android 4.4 Kitkat. The company hasn’t confirmed which brands or models might be affected but states that the vulnerability could allow someone to enable root permissions remotely via a malicious application.
Mediatek states that the problem arrises when debugging on a phone is left active when released to the public. The company says that Chinese phone makers have been warned to check this in the future but phones already in users hands could be at risk.
AFTER TESTING, PHONE MANUFACTURERS SHOULD DISABLE THE DE-BUG FEATURE BEFORE SHIPPING SMARTPHONES. HOWEVER, AFTER INVESTIGATION, WE FOUND THAT A FEW PHONE MANUFACTURERS DIDN’T DISABLE THE FEATURE, RESULTING IN THIS POTENTIAL SECURITY ISSUE.
If loaded on a phone with debug activated, a malicious application could change permissions of core Android security settings to enable ADB over WIFI and allow remote root access.
Activating debug on a phone or tablet is also often used by more experienced Android users, modders etc, but those more tech savvy people are more less prone to installing dodgy software. Casual users with little knowledge of modding are more likely to find this a security issue.
At this time we don’t know if Mediatek will be making a fix to remotely turn off debug in all phones with the problem or if simply telling manufacturers to double-check their settings in the future is their ‘fix’.

Tronfy X6 / Acemax AK838 / Z4 RK3368 / EKB368
Reason I am doing this is I have Tronfy TVB-X6 box and firmware that comes onboard is very poor, many bugs, no support so I decide to make my own
When I decided this I found out that Tronfy X6 is actually just a rebadge of all the above devices and the Z4 RK3368 have lots of new firmware and have current releases up to 22nd December 2015!

In this firmware I have:
Fixed Playstore crashing
Added advanced power menu (APM/5 way reboot) - options to reboot to recovery and bootloader etc
Removed GooglePinyinIME
Added cool new Android TV bootanimation made by me based on design by someone else
Fixed some permissions
Fully rooted with latest SuperSU + Busybox
Updated many libs (improve picture quality H265 should work perfectly)
Updated Kodi to 15.2 (This Kodi includes RockChip hardware acceleration and TrueHD DTSHD options, acceration works but passthrough audio not working)
Updated key layout so recent apps button works on Minix remotes
Added some custom keylayouts for some devices
Updated build.prop for some enhancements and to make GB Europe/London default
Added TVLauncher - I think this is much nicer and better working launcher option
Maybe more I forgot?

I recommend AndroidTool_Release_v2.3 to flash this firmware, click on upgrade firmware tab, click firmware and select my image, click upgrade to flash

[ROM] Unofficial OpenELEC for MXIII-G & Tronsmart MXIII+
These builds are derived from the efforts of many, my thanks to all concerned, & esp. Codesnake for making OE a viable option on Amlogic based devices - Without his initial port, I wouldn't be here trying to improve support for the MX3G 
My goal is to improve/refine OE support for the MX3G, my builds are derived from Kszaq's & Kerber's git forks, however, I also cherry pick other branches & add a few tweaks of my own for good measure.

Here are some of the common issues and fixes:
Chuwi Hi10 is 32bit and not 64bit, only 2.9GB of the ram is usable!

Vensmile i10, a great and stylish Windows 10 Mini PC with an internal fan Review
Mini PCs exist for some time now but in the last 2 years they started to take place next to our dumb TVs making them Smart and giving us the joy of having a very capable media player, game console and pc in our living room
It all started with Android but now Windows 10 Mini PCs exist too giving you the ability to have your PC everywhere you want
The Vensmile i10 from continues the tradition and turns our regular FullHD TV into a full fledged Windows 10 Mini PC
It's specs are powerful and it also has an active cooling system composed by an internal fan
Well now that i got your attention let's start to dive in the looks, specs and performance of this little beast
What's in the Box
The Package is black with the Vensmile logo written on the front and the i10 on the back
Inside the Box we find

Looks & Ports
The device is black and made from aluminium with an exceptional build quality
On the front we see the 2mpx built in Camera along with the Power Button and an Operation Led
On the back we have all the device's ports which are

If we flip the device upside down we find the rubber pads which help the i10 stay in place and some more ventilation grills
Software
The Vensmile i10 is running the full and activated version of Windows 10 which means that you will get updates for ever
The only downside is that although we have a 64 bit CPU, the installed operating system is a 32 bit one
You can do everything you did on your regular desktop pc like running multiple apps simultaneously, mess with the system settings from the control panel, download apps from the Windows Store and more
I would say that it is on par with the Minix Neo Z64W i' ve tried in the past
If we hit the start button the start menu opens and from there we can launch the applications we' ve chosen to use the most as well as go to the settings, all apps, file explorer and boot menu
Hardware and Specs
The Vensmile i10 is powered by an Intel Atom Z3735F running at 1.83 Ghz max, that is fairly a good CPU for basic use but i would like to see the newer Atom X7 Z8700 or the even more powerful Intel Core M. At this price point though this would be very difficult
Other specs include

- 32 GB of internal storage (upgradable via a MicroSD Card)
- Bluetooth 4.0

Performance and Benchmarks
Although benchmarks don't always tell the truth about the real world performance, i did some tests to show you how the device compares with the rest
The first benchmark is GFX Bench and here are the results
I also ran Aida64 which is a powerful tool if you want to view your device's information, test it which several benchmarks and even perform stress tests to see if your CPU throttles to protect your Mini PC in case the temperatures rise to dangerous levels
Kodi runs very good on this device and it can perfectly playback many video formats except from the H.265 ones which were unwatchable due to very low framerate
You can do basic gaming on the Vensmile i10 by playing games you have either downloaded from the Windows store, older PC games or even other platform games through emulators using an external gamepad or the keyboard & mouse
Conclusion
The Vensmile i10 is a very good Windows 10 Mini PC with absolutely no heat issues due to it's internal fan
As a media player it does an excellent job by playing up to 4k videos with no problems at all and using it as a desktop pc to surf the web, play low end games and even edit documents, photos and videos is more than possible
It's 4 x USB 2.0 ports make it very versatile and the built in camera is a great plus for those who use Skype or other similar apps to make video calls
