Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin wireless Bluetooth speaker updates classic iPod dock
The B&W Zeppelin is one of the classic designs from the heyday of iPod dock popularity.
Now it’s all about wireless, Bowers & Wilkins have updated the classic design to act as a Bluetooth speaker and has tweaked the sound to make sure it outperforms the predecessor.
The new Zeppelin uses five driver units, including two double dome CM Series tweeters, two mid-range FST (Fixed Suspension Transducer) drivers and a beefy 6.5-inch subwoofer.
The unit is reinforced to be 50 per cent thicker to eliminate vibrations and it’s strengthened by glass fibre ribs throughout.
To top it off, a “more detailed and refined sound” is achieved thanks to the twice as powerful Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology.
It’s compatible with Apple AirPlay and works with iOS, Android, Mac and PC.
The new Zeppelin is available now at £499 (US$769).
