Lightroom 6 brings forth performance boosts and new tools

Lightroom 6 brings forth performance boosts and new tools

Those of us who work with photo editing software know how convenient and powerful a tool like Lightroom can be. We also know this app hasn’t been updated in years, which makes today’s news quite exciting. Lightroom 6 is now out as a part of Adobe’s Creative Cloud suite, or you can buy it for $150.
So what’s new? Sadly, not too much. There are very welcomed performance boosts powered by GPU enhancements. Even older computers are getting a benefit out of this update. The image below can show you what these performance boosts look like.
In addition, users can now take advantage of new features, including HDR Merge and Panorama Merge. These are very welcomed additions, as we used to have to jump over to Photoshop to process such images. Other features include DNG support for mobile, facial recognition and improved syncing capabilities between devices.
Opinion: This update is available today, so go check it out if you are a Creative Cloud subscriber. I am updating as soon a I am done with work!
