A few days ago the guys from NVIDIA started to push the 2.2 update for the SHIELD Tablets. Even if this new version brought some good improvements, like more GRID games, an improved battery life and broader support for high performance chargers, there’s still some problems for few users.
We get to know that some Shield units are facing weird color reproduction issues on their devices, mostly with bright colors like red and orange. As you can see from the picture above, the once vibrant red and black wallpaper is now washed out and looks brownish.
After some users reported this issue to NVIDIA, they’ve returned with a statement that says : We’re aware that some SHIELD tablet owners are noticing a change in screen colors after the most recent software update. We’re currently working on a fix and should have it available soon. Stay tuned. While you’re waiting for a new update, you can see a little change by setting the color correction preset to native.
