NEW METHOD OF AUTHENTICATION FOR THE TOUGHBOOK AND TOUGHPAD

In cooperation Panasonic will supply its customers and distributors in Europe and authentication solutions QuikID.

QuikID is a patented software FusionPipe designed for enhanced PCs, laptops, tablets and VPN user authentication (lock / unlock). The solution eliminates the need to enter login and password, the use of tokens, smart cards, one-time passwords or USB. With the new technology, you can unlock and lock your business laptop or tablet using a device that already has (eg. A smartphone or SmartWatch). Just through QuikID register them on a laptop or tablet used in the work.

The principle is very simple – when the user moves away from the phone from his Toughbook laptop freezes up when it comes to the lock is removed. The user can further protect the device pin, but not required. FusionPipe is one of independent software vendors (ISVs), which has been certified and approved for use with your Toughbook and Toughpad under the new certification program Panasonic.
I work with a team FusionPipe since I met them for the first time at Mobile World Congress 2015, when it had to assess the technical parameters, security and opportunities QuikID. I was not only impressed by the team FusionPipe and technology, we have created, but also the opportunities that this solution gives our current and potential customers and distributors – John Harris, Head of Engineering at Panasonic Computer Solutions Products.
Panasonic will provide software QuikID within ProServices services. The solution will be available from authorized distributors of Panasonic in Europe and Turkey. Source: press information.
