Android smartphones and of course ndroid-powered tablets all in this world comes with stock Google Play Store app and today’s version brings with it some sort of refreshed features, capabilities, a bunch of bug fixes for issues that users have been facing for quite a while. This release also includes two sections: Apps & Games and Entertainment. One shows all of the apps and games that you may wish to install, and the other plays host to things like movies, music and books. The download link below has been embedded with the latest version.
There’s splitting of the store in two, Google’s Play Store now behaves better on your device, responding to taps and swipes more quickly and generally looking much more like an app that you would want to spend some time browsing rather than quitting trying to get in and out of as quickly as is humanly possible.
Some things have changed alongside under the hood as well. Fire up the app and you will instantly recognize the subtle changes and tweaks in user interface here and there, which includes the two new sections Apps & Games and Entertainment, can be seen in the screenshots below.
Version 6.4.12 of Play Store should start rolling out o users over the course of the next few days, but it depends on which device you are holding, the Android version it is running, and the region you are in, all be considered.
Not saying anything, if you do not want to wait for that update to hit your device, you can download the APK of this new version of Google Play Store from the link at the foot of this post, side-load it, and give it a run.
As expected, this version of Play Store, compatible and ready for Android 6.0 Marshmallow or ROM ports based on the 6.0 firmware images.
