The freshly revealed Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro has a built-in projector and four speakers, both of which are features that make it stand out as a novel Android tablet.
While last year’s Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro tablet also had a built-in projector, the inclusion of the boosted sound system lands it a place as a portable presentation device or makeshift movie projector tablet.
The speakers are made by JBL audio and the tablet packs Dolby Atmos audio technology. On the projector front, the display image can go up to 70 inches.
The new tablet has a 10.1-inch, 2560 x 1600 pixel display and runs on an Intel Atom x5-Z8500 Bay Trail processor with 2GB of RAM and 16-32GB storage options. If those figures are too low, there’s also microSD expansion up to 128GB.
It will ship with Android 5.1 and is powered by a hefty 10,200 mAh battery that offers 18 hours use / 49 hours standby.
As we’ve come to expect from Lenovo tablet, it has a fold-out stand that also doubles as a hanger.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3G/4G mobile data and 802.11ac WiFi.
The tablet weighs 1.5lb and is 0.2-inches thick.
The rear cam is 13M and front facer is 5MP, all in all making this a nice spec device with some added extras to make it stand out.
The WiFi model will go on sale for €349 (US$388) and the LTE version will cost more at €599 (US$666).
