popSLATE releases iPhone cases with E-Ink screen int he back

The YotaPhone has become a sensation in the world of gadgets, and we can thank its innovative second display for all the hype it has been subject of. What makes this second display special is that it is an E-Ink panel – similar to what you see in electronic readers. This is a very low-powered technology and offers great features, but it’s no longer the only one touting such features.
display_visual_2_newAny iPhone 6 user can now have an E-Ink display on the back of his device. This is thanks to a new and intriguing case named popSLATE. The case has its very own 240 mAh battery, which powers the screen and integrated system. The case can connect to your smartphone via bluetooth, from which you can send any image to be displayed on your case screen.
The cool thing is that it can keep an image indefinitely, even if the case’s battery dies (much like the YotaPhone). The bad part is that its functionality continues to be pretty much aesthetic. Yes you can put up your maps and all that, but what I mean is that it has no actionable features. In a Yotaphone you can access your social networks and interact witht he E-Ink screen. With the popSlate, all you can do so far is send your images.
You can buy the popSLATE case for iPhone 6 starting today. Just head over to theofficial website and order it. Be warned, this thing is not cheap. IT is priced at a whopping $129.
