Huawei VIP service rumors
Huawei’s arsenal of smartphones has grown powerful after the announcement of the P8 and its massive brother, the Huawei P8 Max. We all know there is much more to selling a smartphone than producing a convinving piece of equipment, though.
One important factor is customer service, which Apple has built an empire upon. The Cupertino giant is known for its outstanding customer service, as well as quick repairs and replacements. Manufacturers try to imitate them, but they are left in the dust due to their lack of selling power.
Huawei is here to make some changes with a rumored service called Huawei VIP. It’s said to launch only in the UK for now, but more markets may see it in due time. What does it consist of? Well, Huawei P8 buyers will get a special number to call if they have issues. Qualifying customers will be able to get same-day replacements if their smartphones are faulty.
Huawei is also playing it a bit safe, as they won’t just send you a new phone without a little something back. It’s said the Chinese manufacturer will be asking for a £100 deposit, just in case they run into issues not covered by warranty.
Opinion: Not quite Apple, but this is a big step into a brighter future for the Android manufacturer. Having this VIP service around may entice more customers to trust Huawei, which most people don’t even know how to pronounce.
