GOCLEVER Insignia 800M appeared on the Polish market quite recently, in December 2014 year. The device is available in two variants differ both in terms of equipment and systems. The model we tested is based on MediaTek8382 system and uses the Android platform – its price is about 450 zlotys . Reasonable price is mainly due to an aging somewhat the components – even so, the competition reaching for chips Intel Atom provides only a little more expensive models: for example, 8 Kiano Intelect 3G will have to pay about 500 zł . The market will also find a number of the older models, which will be similar to the tested performance of our GOCLEVER-a and still enjoying (as Ceneo.pl) very popular. They include, among others Lenovo A5500-H (approx. 600 zł ) and Kiano SlimTab 8 3G (approx. 500 zł ).

The low price of "Chinese" tablets mostly affects the quality of workmanship and materials used. Fortunately, this problem only in a small degree to the DUT. GOCLEVER Insignia 800M well presented – the manufacturer has not experimented and reached a proven set of materials. At first glance, is dominated by dark colors, but on closer inspection we find that aluminum tablet plecki are not actually black but dark brown. This side of the device has only two elements finished in black – plastic strips that are in the top and bottom of the tablet. They are consistent with a plastic frame around the glass panes running, covering the entire front part of the device. Evaluation of design is a matter of highly subjective. I see no reason why the Insignia 800M someone would not like, but at the same time easy to point out that Kiano Intelect 8 presents a much bolder 3G and easily memorable design. It is also worth mentioning that the Insignia 800M is not another clone of one of the popular Chinese devices – this is important because of the low price of the tablet.The tested model has an 8-inch screen, which is the dominant element of the front of the device. As already mentioned, the display cover glass that tests found to be susceptible to pressure. Even with a single thumb will cause the formation of spots on the panel, in addition, the cover seems to have a slightly milky in appearance, projecting slightly to receive the projected image. Whatever it was, however, not glass, will always win with a plastic cover, sometimes even encountered a cheap tablet. CAMERA
Insignia 800M has a 2-megapixel camera and flash-free autofocus, and without that it is not able to perform photographs that could match the quality of the solutions available on the market competitive. You can use the standard Android application to be installed, which expanded the functionality of the HDR mode and the ability to take panorama. Do not deceive ourselves – easily find a better alternative to Google Play. Technical limitations of the device itself, however, does not will overcome. Recorded images suffer because of the low detail, the colors differ from the natural. No auto focus makes it difficult to correctly capture sharper images. The worst tablet copes night – missing more ISO that would brighten the picture. An example of cadres captured the night was made in light of the street lamps, and as you can see, the main subject in the photo is very dark. Equally poorly presented video – image is blurry, unstable and mediocre quality.
