Asus Zenfone 2: Contradictions
No phone with a 5.5-inch display is going to be particularly small or easy to manage in one hand, but even with that being the case the ZenFone 2 is quite large for its screen size. Having capacitive keys (which don’t light up, by the way) taking up room under the display isn’t helping any, but beyond that the entire build is a little on the bulky side. It’s just a sliver smaller than a Galaxy Note 4 despite having a smaller screen and no physical home button, and considering how thin the plastic is all around you’re not getting much in the way of sturdiness for the extra thickness.
The one aspect of the design that I do consider questionable is the placement of the power button. It’s located on the top of the device, next to the 3.5mm audio jack. Even though the ZenFone 2 is fairly small for a 5.5″ device, it’s difficult to reach up to the top to turn it on without having to shift your grip upward.

And by the way, the first link says the camera is OK.
Same-day update: Asus Zenfone 2 Review: Very Fast, Very Affordable — there are comparison photos there (click to enlarge) that show the Zenfone 2 camera isn’t as bad as YouTube reviewers have made it out to be. Perhaps Asus changed the camera somehow prior to U.S. release?
