Acer Debuts New Convertible and 2 in 1 Devices: Aspire R11, Switch 10 and Switch 10E

Acer debuted this week a new series of convertible and 2 in 1 devices, from the Aspire and Switch ranges. The newcomers are the Aspire R11, which is a very slim notebook and the Switch 10 2 in 1, as well as the Switch 10E model.

Acer Aspire R11 is a convertible notebook with a 11.6 inch diagonal and one that includes a 360 degree rotating display. The R11 has a case texture that feels like textile materials and its production process involves laser engraving for a boost in elegance. The R11 comes with an Intel Pentium CPU, with Intel HD graphics, up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.

USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports are here, as well as HDMI and VGA. The Switch 10 and 10E series are 2 in 1 detachable screen models, that can be used as a tablet or laptop. They rely on quad core Intel Atom CPUs and the Switch 10E brings a 30Wh battery, good enough for 12 hours of functioning. The product comes in 7 color versions and brings a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, as well as the Acer Vision Care suite.
Acer Switch 10 has a case made of scratch resistant glass, a Full HD screen and both new models have two 2 MP cameras. They also come with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and the Switch 10 integrates a 22 Wh battery. Switch 10E costs around 300 euros, while the Switch goes a bit over 430 euros. Aspire R11 revolves around 400 euros, too.
