Download iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Golden Master
Apple today released the Golden Master build of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 to developers along with the third beta of iOS 13.1/iPadOS 13.1. The Golden Master build drops a few weeks after Apple had released iOS 13 beta 8 to developers. After that, the company started releasing beta builds of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 instead of iOS 13/iPadOS 13 to developers.
The Golden Master build of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 are likely going to be the final public build of the OSes which is released by Apple next week. That is unless the company comes across a major bug and is forced to fix it before the public release.
Compared to the last beta build, iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Golden Master will be a lot more stable in nature and have fewer bugs.
Alongside iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Golden Master, Apple also released the third developer beta of iOS 13.1 and iPadOS 13.1 to developers.
Download iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 Golden Master
If you are already running iOS 13 Developer Beta 7 on your iPhone, you just need to go to Settings -> General -> Software Update and download the beta 8 OTA. The same steps are also applicable for downloading iPadOS 13 Beta 8.
A new public beta build of iOS 13 and iPadOS 13 should also drop later today.

How to Use AR Walking Directions on iPhone
After quite a few months of beta testing, Google finally rolled out its AR walking directions feature in Google Maps for all Android and iPhone users. Dubbed Live View, this feature in Google Maps smartly uses augmented reality to provide one with walking directions.
What is Live View in Google Maps?
How many times has it happened that you are using Google Maps for walking directions and end up on a busy street totally confused about where to go? With the Live View feature, Google is using AR to smartly solve this problem. Below is a quick demo of how the feature works.
The feature is also great to have when Google Maps says you have reached your destination but you are confused as to where the exact building is.
One important point to note is that Google has not made Live View with the intention that you look at the phone while walking. It is intended to be used when you arrive at a busy street and are confused as to which lane you have to go.
How to Use Live View AR Walking Directions in Google Maps on iPhone
Live View AR walking directions in Google Maps is available in all areas where Street View data is present. The feature is compatible with all iPhones and iPads which support ARKit.
Google only just started rolling out Live View in Google Maps so the feature might not show up for everyone immediately. The rollout will take at least a couple of weeks to complete.
Step 1: Search for any place in Google Maps where Street View is available. Tap the Directions button in the bottom action bar.
Step 2: If the Live View AR feature has been rolled out for your Google account, you will see a Start AR button. Tap on the button to start using the new AR view for walking directions.Lan vs wan: diferencia entre ellos

Apple to Reportedly Provide Security Researchers with Jailbroken iPhones
Apple will seemingly be providing security researchers with ‘jailbroken’ iPhones so that they are able to easily find more vulnerabilities in iOS. As per Forbes, Apple will be making this announcement at the Black Hat security conference scheduled to be held from later this week (August 3-8, 2019).
Apple will be handling out how these iPhones only to those researchers who are a part of its invite-only iOS bug bounty program. The iPhones handed out would be “dev devices” as per one of the sources. They would be more unlocked than usual iPhones and allow researchers to prod into iOS to find security vulnerabilities.
Think of them as iPhones that allow the user to do a lot more than they could on a traditionally locked-down iPhone. For instance, it should be possible to probe pieces of the Apple operating system that aren’t easily accessible on a commercial iPhone. In particular, the special devices could allow hackers to stop the processor and inspect memory for vulnerabilities. This would allow them to see what happens at the code level when they attempt an attack on iOS code.
Despite the ‘open’ nature of these iPhones, they are not going to be the exact same ones as used by Apple’s internal staff. They would be “lite” versions, with the units being used by Apple’s internal security team having a greater level of openness.Read Next:alternative to utorrent

Alongside this, Apple will also be announcing a macOS bug bounty program. Apple announced the iOS bug bounty program at the Black Hat conference in 2016. So, it makes sense that the company is taking the same stage to announce a macOS bug bounty program as well. It is unclear if the macOS bug bounty program will be based on the same guidelines as the iOS program i.e. it will be invite-only, with payouts not as attractive as other bug bounties.

How to Silence Robocalls And Spam Calls Automatically on iPhone
Ignorance is bliss. And this is best applicable to unknown callers. Anyone who’s not in your contact book. They’re either a spam caller, a robocall, or an unknown number that you probably don’t want to talk to. If you’re privileged enough that you don’t need to pick up calls from anyone for your job or personal life, you can automate this blissful process using a new feature in iOS 13. Learn how to automatically silence unknown and spam calls in iOS 13.
How to Silence/Mute Robocalls and Spam Callers on iPhone
How This Feature Works
Over the past couple of years, Apple has made it easier to deal with spam calls, robocalls, and spam SMS, but it was dependent on third-party apps. You can install apps like Truecaller to automatically block spam SMS and spam calls, or at least to alert you of robocalls. But in my personal experience, this rarely worked well. Others, especially in the west, have a better experience using apps like Nomorobo and Hiya. But still, nothing beats a global, built-in kill switch. Which is what the new iOS 13 feature is.
It’s called Silence Unknown Callers and it does just that. It will automatically silence a call from anyone who is not in your contact book. You won’t hear a sound or any vibration, even if your phone is not in Silent mode. If you have a Voicemail setup, the call will be directed automatically to voicemail. This would be a good time to get a Visual Voicemail service on your carrier so you can read the transcript of the message later if you wish.
If you don’t have Voicemail feature (which I don’t), the calls are just silenced and rejected. They’ll show up in the Phone app as a missed call and you can call them back if you want (unlike blocked calls). Or you can just enjoy the bliss.
Automatically Mute/Silence Unknown Callers on iPhone in iOS 13
This feature needs to be enabled from the Settings app.
Step 1: After updating to iOS 13 on your iPhone, open the Settings app.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap on the Phone option.
Step 3: Here, scroll down to the Call Silencing and Blocked Contacts section.
Step 4: Turn on the Silence Unknown Callers feature.

Luca Todesco Teases tfp0 Exploit for iOS 13
Luca Todesco, a renowned developer in the jailbreaking scene, took to Twitter to tease a tfp0 exploit for iOS 13 beta 2. A tfp0 exploit is a kernel task port which forms the base of an iOS jailbreak as it allows developers to write to the kernel memory.
Before you get too excited, it is extremely common for jailbreak developers to tease potential exploits for a jailbreaking tool for an unreleased iOS version. Lucas is not going to detail this exploit to the public or release an iOS 13 jailbreaking tool anytime soon as the OS itself is in beta.

Developer @iBSparkes had previously teased Cydia on an iPhone 8 running iOS 13 beta 1.
While it is good to know that iOS 13 can be jailbroken, it is important to note that we are not going to see any iOS 13 jailbreak tool release until at least the public release of the OS in September. Even after that, most developers will likely wait for a few more bug-fixing iOS 13 releases before dropping a jailbreak or a potential exploit for the jailbreak.
Do not end up upgrading your iPhone to iOS 13 beta 2 in hopes that a jailbreak for the OS is around the corner. Instead, stick to your iOS 12 – iOS 12.1.2 jailbreak setupespecially since downgrading from iOS 12.3 to a jailbreakable iOS firmware is not possible without having the required SHSH blobs.

Instagram’s New Recovery Feature Makes It Easier to Reclaim Hacked Accounts
Regaining access to the hacked Instagram account was one of the many struggles users faced with the platform. Instagram has finally decided to tackle the issue by making a series of changes. Last year, Instagrammers were stunned after they were automatically logged out of their account. It was alleged that Instagram accounts were getting hacked.
The new changes are aimed at helping Instagram users regain access to their hacked accounts. As part of the effort, Instagram is offering a recovery tool that is built right into the app. The new feature will also work if the users are locked out of their account. The recovery tool asks users to enter other details like phone number and email address associated with your account. That being said, the new feature is currently in testing and will soon be rolled out for all Instagram users.
In the next step, Instagram will send a verification code to your email address or phone number. With the help of verification code, you can log in to your Instagram account while the hacker will lose access to the same.
Our Take
More than often Instagram account hacks are a painful ordeal for the user. Influencers and others with a large number of following might end up losing all that they have built over the years. It is good to see Instagram proactively dealing with the issue. Previously, the recovery codes were being sent to hackers email address (they changed it soon after hacking the accounts). The new tool addresses this issue and hopefully, it will be much more efficient than the previous methods.
It is also learned that hackers often target accounts with a shorter username. They change the user name and create a new account with the same username as the hacked account. Once this is done, the hacker sells the new Instagram account. Instagram is apparently tackling this issue by blocking the previously used username for several days. All said and done, these are good measures that will make hacking Instagram accounts more difficult in the future.
What do you think of the new way of reclaiming Instagram account? Do let us know in the comment section.

Huawei Smartphone Shipments Crashed by 40 Percent Last Month Due to US Ban
Before President Trump banned all U.S. companies from engaging in any kind of trade with Huawei, the Chinese smartphone company was well on the way to generate revenues of more than $125 billion and replace Apple as the world’s second largest smartphone manufacturer. However, posted the ban, the picture has changed quite a bit for the Chinese giant.
Huawei’s founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei said that the impact of the U.S. ban on Huawei’s business has been more than expected. The ban will lead to Huawei’s revenue taking a hit by $30 billion, with the company taking until 2021 to fully recover from its effect.
The ban has also had an adverse effect on Huawei’s smartphones international shipments which declined by 40 percent in the last month. The company is already preparing for a decline in its international smartphone shipments by 40-60 percent and has also asked Foxconn to reduce its smartphone production accordingly.
“We did not expect they would attack us on so many aspects,” Ren said, adding he expects a revival in business in 2021.
“We cannot get components supply, cannot participate in many international organizations, cannot work closely with many universities, cannot use anything with U.S. components, and cannot even establish connection with networks that use such components.”
Huawei is now expecting revenues of $100 billion for 2019 and 2020, while its original revenue estimate was between $125 billion to $130 billion. Despite the decline in revenues and smartphone shipments, Huawei will not be cutting down on its R&D spending or announce any large scale layoffs.
Our Take
The full impact of the U.S. ban on Huawei’s smartphone and other business is still not clear. While Huawei has reportedly created a stockpile of chips, it is only going to last for around 3-6 months. It remains to be seen what Huawei does once it runs out of this stockpile or if it needs newer versions of certain chips.
Huawei has also been barred from using Android and so it will be interesting to see what the company does when it launches its flagship Mate 30 series later this year. The company could launch the phone with its own Hongmeng OS about which little is known as of now.

2019 iPhone XR Expected to Feature a Bigger 3,110mAh Battery
Last year, Apple challenged the status quo with an affordable iPhone XR. The phone was supposed to be Apple’s reply to large screened Android devices. Despite a few letdowns, the iPhone XR did come with impressive battery life. The battery on the iPhone XR is rated to offer up to 25 hours of talk time and 15 hours of internet usage.
A new report about a much bigger battery on the upcoming 2019 iPhone XR has surfaced. It mentions that the 2019 iPhone XR will be backed by a much bigger 3,110mAh battery which translates to a 5% increase over the 2,942mAh battery on the iPhone XR.
The report also goes on to reveal that Chinese Amperex Technology Limited (ATL) has been given the order for the iPhone XR 2 battery. ATL is the same company that Samsung turned for help when the SDI batteries started exploding on the Galaxy Note 7.
All that we know about the upcoming iPhones
Like its predecessor, the iPhone XR 2 is expected to be available in bright colors including Green and Lavender. At the same time, the rumor claims that Apple will be dropping the Coral and Blue color options.
Needless to say, the new iPhones will come with upgraded camera hardware. In fact, Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with KGI securities claims that Apple might add a triple-camera to the 6.5-inch and 5.8-inch OLED iPhones and this will include a super-wide 12-megapixel camera. All the new iPhones will come fitted with Apple’s A13 processor and a much advanced 7nm process.
Kuo also predicts that the 2019 line-up of iPhones will come with an updated antenna setup. The antenna setup will use modified-Pi magnetic particle inspection (MPI) as opposed to the Liquid Crystal Polymer on the new iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR. This is expected to help better the network performance (especially indoors) of the upcoming iPhones.Gihosoft RePicvid Free Photo Recovery Software provides a free photo recovery software for windows to help users recover the deleted or lost photo for free.

To learn about the new features in iOS 13 and iPadOS 13, check out our lists for What’s New in iOS 13 and What’s New in iPadOS 13.
1. Peek Works Across All iOS DevicesLectura de contenido relacionado:Corrige 0x0 0x0 Error
You can now tap and hold on any link or photo to open a little preview, with action items at the bottom. This was something that was only reserved for phones with 3D Touch. Now it works on all iPhones and best of all, all iPads. Even on the iPhone X, there’s no need to 3D Touch for this feature.
2. Volume and Silent Mode HUD Moved
The new Volume HUD appears in the top-left corner of the screen in an unintrusive manner. It first shows up as a full sized slide. But it immediately shrinks and becomes unintrusive.
The intrusive HUD for ringer switch is gone as well. Now you’ll see a pill-shaped drop-down when you enable and disable Silent mode.

3. Redesigned Now Playing Screen
The Now Playing screen in Apple Music has been redesigned. Features are no longer hidden behind the scrolling menu. While that’s the great news, it also means that Shuffle and Repeat buttons have been moved again.
And even this time they are hidden and quite small. You’ll have to tap on the Up Next button and then find the Shuffle and Repeat icons next to the Up Next title.
4. Better Card Sheet Interface
One of the issues of redesigning iOS 13 must have been the card sheet interface. This is when a scrollable sheet pops up from the bottom of the screen. Apple has fixed it by removing the card sheet interface from places like the Now Playing screen in the Music app. And they’ve made it more pronounced.
The card sheet actually has a header now, with the name of the section at the top. There is empty space and stacking UI at the top to make it easier to discern which card sheet you’re viewing.
5. Redesigned Tabs Everywhere
It’s a similar story with tabs. The previous, plan tabs would be hard to discern in the dark interface. So Apple has added color inside the tab and depth around it. You can easily tell which tab is activated and which isn’t.
6. Persistent Connectivity for Hotspot
This change will be appreciated by Mac users who rely on their iPhone for an internet connection. Apple has reworked the Personal Hotspot process so that it doesn’t immediately disable itself when your Mac is inactive. It stays on in the background for a while. This little change will reduce the frustration of using an iPhone as a hotspot.
7. Accessibility in Main Settings Screen
Accessibility is now a main section in Settings. And each sub-section in Accessibility gets an icon. The whole section has been reshuffled and features are now paired in sensible buckets.
8. New Undo and Redo Gestures
Along with the new gestures for copy and paste, there are new features for undo and redo that work on both iPhone and iPad. To undo text entry or an action, you can just swipe right with three fingers on the screen. The opposite gesture will redo the change.
9. Separate Icons for Globe and Emoji Buttons
This little change makes things much simpler. In iPhone X and higher, the Globe key is now detached from the keyboard and is now replaced with a persistent emoji button. This gives you quick access to all your emojis and you no longer need to tap and hold the Globe button to switch keyboards every time.
10. Redesigned Markup Toolset
The redesigned markup tool is great to use on the iPad. It can now be moved anywhere on the screen. Plus, there are new tools for quickly selecting a part of the image or the screen using your Apple Pencil.
11. Voice Control
Voice Control is a new accessibility feature that allows the user to control the whole device using just the voice. In this mode, the user can ask the iPhone to open apps, take actions like pressing a button or enter text and more. The audio is constantly working in the background and is processed on the device.
12. Redesigned Share Sheet with List of Actions
Share sheet in iOS 13 has one tap suggestions for sharing a photo or document with some who is in the photo. There’s a new actions bar that comes up based on the content.
13. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Switching from Control Center
Finally, Apple is letting users switch between different Wi-Fi networks right from the Control Center.
14. Siri Sounds a Lot Human
The new Siri voice is created completely from text-to-speech and isn’t based on snippets of recording. This means it’s a lot more pleasing to the ears.
15. Updated Start Page and UI for Safari
New Start page in safari includes favorites, frequently visited and recently visited websites.
16. New Photos Tab in the Photos App
Apple has updated the Photos app to help you bring out the best photos. If you switch to the Days tab, you’ll now see only the top picks from the given day. It will hide the screenshots and other kinds of photos. The same goes for the month view. The Year view is quite interesting because it shows the photo from the same day in the preview box for the given year. This way you can just scroll and see a photo from the day dating back to when you started using your iPhone.
17. Redesigned Photo and Video Editor
Apple has finally redesigned the Photos app editor as well. It’s a much simpler view. You tap on the control at the top and then use the slider below to edit it. It’s similar to the Instagram app. While the photo editor has all the current controls, it also adds new ones for highlights, vibrance, and more.
Using the new video editor in Photos app you can easily crop, rotate or add filters to a video.
18. Extended Reply Menu in Mail
When you press the reply button you’ll see a new sheet. It will have buttons for Reply, Forward, Delete, Flag, Unread, Move and Archive.
19. Updated Timer Interface
There’s a new UI when you start a new timer. You’ll see a circle around the countdown timer which visually shows you how much time is left. And it also shows the time at which the timer will go off.
20. Improved Maps UI
Maps app in iOS 13 is much better, thanks to Apple’s new mapping project. Maps app now shows detailed maps for many big towns across US. And it also has a new Google Street View type of feature called Look Around.
21. New Smart Entry Interface Reminders
Reminders has a full redesign but what stands out most is the Hub style home screen of the app, and the new smart reminders entry using Natural Langauge Processing. You’ll be able to type a full entry like “doctor’s appointment at 6 PM on 30th” and Reminders app will give you a suggestion to add the date and time to the reminder with just a tap.
22. App Updates Page Moved
Thanks to the new Arcade tab, the Updates tab in the App Store has been moved. It’s now a section in the Account screen. You’ll need to tap on your Profile icon, to view all available app updates.
23. Bypass Cellular Download Limit for App Store
Apple has removed the 200MB Cellular Data limit for app downloads. When an app is over 200MB it will ask if you want to download it anyway. But there’s a setting where you can permanently disable this limit.
24. New Summary View in Health App
The redesigned health app has a new Summary section that shows new insightful data.
25. Save Folders to Local Storage
One of the biggest annoyances of the Files app has been fixed. You can now create folders for the local storage on the iPad. There’s no need to use iCloud Drive every time. Apps will be able to use these folders as well.

How to Manually Enter Huawei Recovery Mode
How to Manually Enter Huawei Recovery Mode
If you must use the official method to enter the recovery mode on your Huawei phone, then you can do so using the following instructions. The procedure is relatively lengthy and you may not enter the recovery in the first attempt. However, keep trying until you finally reboot into the recovery mode on your device. Steps below works for Huawei Honor series, Huawei P20, P10, Mate 20/10, Nova 2 Plus, etc.
Step 1. Turn off your Huawei device by pressing the Power button.
Step 2. When your device turns off, press and hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time for a few seconds.
Step 3. You will be in bootloader mode now. Select the option that says Recovery using Volume Down button and you will enter the recovery mode on your device.
The Android recovery mode is hidden behind the bootloader mode on your Huawei phone. So you need to first get into the bootloader mode and it then redirects you to the recovery mode. You may enter the Huawei fastboot mode as well with the above method.
Part 3. How to Exit Recovery Mode on Huawei Phone?
If you are done with what you wanted to do in the recovery mode and you would like to exit out of recovery, the following instructions should help you do it.
While you are in the recovery mode, get back to the main screen of the recovery and choose the option that says reboot system now. It will reboot your device and you will be out of recovery.
However, if you get stuck on Huawei recovery mode, the method above will not work for you. In this case, you can use the "Exit Recovery Mode" or "Repair Android System" feature on ReiBoot for Android to get out of the recovery mode on Huawei easily. Not only recovery stuck, ReiBoot for Android can efficiently fix all Android stuck issues like Android stuck in Fastboot mode, safe mode and boot screen, etc.
Part 4. When to Use Recovery Mode on Huawei Phone?
There are many occasions when you may want to use the recovery mode on your device. The following are some of the common reasons why people use recovery modes on their devices.
Factory Reset
If you are unable to boot your phone normally, you can enter the recovery mode and reset your device to the factory settings. Doing so will remove all the content including any issues that prevent you from booting up and you will have a clean device with yourself.
Install Custom ROMs
If you wish to flash a custom ROM with more features on your device, you can use the recovery mode and it will help you easily flash new ROM files on your device.
Wipe Cache
If your phone has accumulated a large number of cache files, the recovery mode should help you get rid of all of those files at once.
Conclusion
It is pretty easy to enter and use Huawei recovery mode as you can see in the above guide. We hope you are able to reboot into the recovery mode so you can do what you want to do on your phone.

2019 iPhone 11 Will Feature Broader Zoom Range, Auto-Correction Feature in Camera
Bloomberg’s report of TSMC starting production for the next-generation A-serieschipset reveals quite a bit about the company’s 2019 iPhone lineup. The report states that the 2019 iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max are codenamed D43 and D43, with the iPhone XR known internally as N104.
The report states that all three 2019 iPhones will look similar to the existing iPhones, with the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max gaining a new ultra-wide angle shooter at the rear. As for the 2019 iPhone XR, it will switch to a dual camera set up at the rear compared to its existing single lens solution.
Keeping up with the trend of 5x and 10x optical zoom, Apple will also offer a broader range of zoom on its 2019 iPhone 11 models. There will also be an auto-correction feature in which people who were accidentally cut out from a photo can be added back into it.
Thanks to the increased battery capacity, the 2019 iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max variants will be about 0.5mm thicker than the outgoing models. The handsets will feature reverse wireless charging similar to what we have already seen on the likes of the Galaxy S10 and Huawei Mate 20/P30 series that will allow users to charge their AirPods or other such accessories wirelessly.
Our Take
While most of the stuff in the report was already known, the auto-correction feature definitely sounds interesting. It looks like Apple will be capturing photos from the primary 12MP shooter and the ultra-wide angle shooter and then process them in the background to offer this feature. It definitely sounds useful, though it remains to be seen how it turns out to be in real life.
It is clear that the highlight of the 2019 iPhone lineup is going to their improved camera performance, better battery life, and reverse wireless charging.

Report: Apple Overstates iPhone XR Battery Life by 51 Percent
A new report from Which? claims that Apple has been overstating the battery life of the iPhone XR by almost 50 percent. In its testing, Which? tested nine different iPhone models and all of them lasted anywhere between 18 percent to 51 percent less than Apple’s claimed figures.
The iPhone XR, which offers the longest battery life among the 2018 iPhone lineup, lasted for 16 hours and 32 minutes in the talk time test. This is 51 percent less than Apple’s claimed talk time of 25 hours.
Apple has already responded to the report and claims that it stands behind the battery life claims of its products which it makes after its own testing.
“We rigorously test our products and stand behind our battery life claims. With tight integration between hardware and software, iPhone is engineered to intelligently manage power usage to maximize battery life. Our testing methodology reflects that intelligence.
Which? haven’t shared their methodology with us so we can’t compare their results to ours. We share our methodology for testing which we publish in detail here https://www.apple.com/iphone/battery.html.”
For its testing, Which? independently purchased new iPhones, charged them to their full capacity and then tested how long they would last while on a call.
Which? also tested the battery life claims of HTC smartphones and while they also fell short of promised talk time, the difference was only around 5 percent.
Interestingly, smartphones from Sony, Nokia, and Samsung actually delivered better battery life in the testing than what they promised. In particular, Sony smartphones lasted around 21 percent higher than their promised talk time.
Our Take
There are a lot of factors at play when one tests the battery life of a smartphone. However, if Which? had the basics right in their testing, a difference of 51 percent in promised talk time battery life is staggering and one that would definitely raise some eyebrows.
Are you satisfied with the battery life of your iPhone XR?

Apple Celebrates Earth Day 2019
Today is Earth Day, an annual event celebrated around the world that brings attention to various environmental causes. Apple is taking part in the event in a variety of ways, from green Apple logos in retail locations to providing an update on its mission to conserve mangrove trees in Colombia.

As it does every year in its retail stores, Apple has turned the leaves of the Apple logo green in honor of Earth Day. Select locations have also provided workers with green t-shirts to mark the event, and all Apple stores today will promote environment-themed Today at Apple sessions.
The company is also hosting an Apple Watch challenge today, asking users to get a 30 minute workout done before the day ends. Apple usually hosts Activity Challenges for major holidays and well-known events, and for the past several years there's been an Earth Day Challenge with the same goal as 2019 -- complete a 30 minute workout.
Apple today also shared a press release that provides an update on its efforts to preserve the mangrove trees in Cispatá Bay in Córdoba, Colombia. Last year on Earth Day, Apple partnered with Conservation International to protect and restore Cispatá Bay, due to the area's importance in the battle against climate change. "Globally, we've lost half of the world's mangrove forests since the 1940s," said Apple VP of Environment Lisa Jackson. "So it's high time we start preserving and protecting them."

The company has also marked Earth Day across its services. Beginning with Apple Music, the Mixtape for Mother Earth has been refreshed this year with curation by Jaden Smith. It includes tracks like "Come Together" by The Beatles, "Summertime Magic" by Childish Gambino, and more. Jaden joined his parents Will and Jada at Apple Park last week to discuss the environment and Jaden's company, Just Water.
Apple is also marking down a collection of environmentally-friendly films on iTunes Movies in a new sale. This includes a suite of Disneynature documentaries for $9.99, and films focused on climate change, the natural wonders of the planet, and animated features for kids with environmental messages like Wall-E and FernGully.
A similar section has appeared in iBooks as well, providing readers with books themed around the environment. These include books that allow you to "Explore the Natural World," "Get Informed," "Do Your Part," and a section focused on kids' books like Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax" and "Curios George Plants a Tree."
Earlier in April, Apple announced that it has nearly doubled the number of suppliers that have committed to run their Apple-specific production on 100 percent renewable energy, bringing the total number to 44. This includes iPhone assemblers Foxconn, Pegatron, and Wistron; Gorilla Glass maker Corning; Face ID module provider Finisar; A-series chipmaker TSMC; Apple Watch manufacturer Quanta Computer; and AirPods assembler Luxshare.
The company continued its environment-friendly announcements later in the month by revealing a new "Material Recovery Lab" had opened in Austin, Texas, dedicated to looking for innovative solutions that will improve on traditional methods of recycling. Apple also revealed a major expansion of its recycling program, quadrupling the number of locations where United States customers can send their iPhone to be disassembled by its recycling robot Daisy, which was introduced around last year's Earth Day.Sponsor ads:
