Objective2 Headphone Amp (with AC adapter and NiMH batteries installed)

Objective2 Headphone Amp (with AC adapter and NiMH batteries installed) review

I do not own this exact model of this amplifier, mine is older, I got it in January when these guys were running out of their own stock of front plates and slapped a jds labs front plate even though it came from mayfower. I can tell you this is the best amplifier I have at the moment. It has no color, it has no noise, it just amplifies the signal that it is given without distortion. Every time I thought this amplifier might have an issue, I plugged in another set of headphones and the issue was gone, which means I would be having an issue with the headphones. That is the sign of a really, really good amplifier in my opinion. For the price this is at the objective 2 amplifiers tend to put to shame amplifiers 7-8 times the price of this amplifier, and sounds on par or the same as amplifiers in the $1,000 range. This isint even a joke or a subjective feeling, you can actually see how this thing preforms as it has been tested against other amplifiers, from lower costing amplifiers, to the mid range lines, up to where it was starting to under preform against was the Benchmark DAC1. The specs on this amp/dac combo are technically better however in blind tests most people can't tell the difference and the results were fairly close to even. look up results on how this amplifier preforms by searching the internet. I will throw this out there, if you can afford the o2/odac combo units, get that. Don't get me wrong this amplifier is great by itself but the combo unit something you can just buy once, then never worry if you need a better amp or sound card/dac for your computer again.
