Much-anticipated news, jailbreaker! The Chinese team Pangu has evidently managed to successfully jailbreak iOS 8.4.1. Demonstrated their jailbreak on iPhone 6 running the latest iOS 8.4.1 IPSW at the recent HackPwn2015 security conference. Now what, Apple? This is how your firmware secured with?
Apple released iOS 8.4.1 which patched around 40 security exploits, which included those TaiG team used in the iOS 8.4 jailbreaks (after 8.1.3, 8.2, 8.3). This demo happened just after Apple patched so many exploits in iOS 8.4.1, the changes of iOS getting a new jailbreak tool again this soon loked grim until when the official Weibo account of HackPwn2015 confirmed the good news of Pangu successfully jailbroken iPhone 6 on iOS 8.4.1.
The iOS 9 release in front, in a matter of weeks now. It wouldn’t be wise for Pangu or any jailbreak team for that mattter to burn these all important jailbreak exploits for a minor update like iOS 8.4.1. Better way is to keep the jailbreak alive for iOS 9 that team Pangu will save these exploits for jailbreaking iOS 9 and the upcoming iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.
