The Cubot X11 smartphone review
The Cubot X11 smartphone with a very interesting design, due to the presence of metal and glass housing. Its feature an extremely sleek design with a small camera cluster.
One of the main features of a smartphone it is a front panel 2.5D curved glass, exactly like the Xiaomi Mi Note. The cameras in the new product from Sony: front camera of a 8-megapixel with a f / 1.8, while rear camera with a 13-megapixel with IMX 214.
The Cubot X11 price is less than $169 now, and it is quite surprising, because due to the mid-range chip could make the cost more affordable, despite the attractive design.

Would you consider buying the ZUK Z1?
The popularity of the ZUK Z1 is because of its specs to price ratio. The Z1 comes with a capable Snapdragon 801 chip clocked at 2.5GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. There is a 3GB RAM on board along with 64GB of internal storage. For display, you get a beautiful 5.5-inch full HD 1080p panel. Also, there is a 13MP OIS camera with dual LED flash at the back along with an 8MP front facing shooter. The best two features of the device is its 4100mAh battery which should last you a couple of days comfortably and the USB Type-C 3.0 port with 2.5A fast charge tech. The fingerprint sensor on the home button with special gestures is definitely an added plus.
You get all this for 1799 Yuan ($280) which makes it a great deal. An international edition of the ZUK Z1 flagship will make its way into European and American markets by September next month. It will feature the Cyanogen OS 12.1 instead of the company’s own ZUI.
So, if it comes to your country, would you consider buying the ZUK Z1?

Smartisan Phone Unveiling In China Nearly Fills A Stadium!
Smartisan Phone Unveiling In China Nearly Fills A Stadium!
Smartisan — and especially its leader — have created a lot of controversy in China’s tech field. Why isn’t exactly clear due to the haze of Google Translate.
Details of the phone are yet to come but it’s likely one that won’t interest me. So see GizChina and GizmoChina for their eventual posts.
I’m just stunned at how large a venue the introduction was held at and how many people went.
Alleged Google Nexus 8 tablet spotted on benchmark website
New Nexus 8: iPad Mini Clone From Colorfly?!
No one in America is picking up on the Colorfly brand name.
But they sure are in China!
Toutiao [Google Translate]:
If the shots are true, then Google new “Nexus 8” tablet will likely by the domestic flat-panel manufacturers Rainbow (Colorfly) foundry. As this low frequency of the processor, taking into Qualcomm, Samsung and Huawei are no such CPU, therefore Nexus 8 who this “heart” is likely to come from local manufacturers allwinner technology. Currently, there are full-Chi A80, A83T and H8 several eight-core processor. And on the Rainbow, a domestic computer DIY players may be more familiar with. This is a DIY hardware manufacturers, but also one of the more famous card brand on the market. Of course, in addition to motherboards, graphics cards, etc., Colorful also involved in the tablet market, is introducing a variety of Tablet PC include both Android and Windows systems. However, the low end of its flat positioning, the basic price of the thousand or so.
So Google is going to announce an iPad Mini clone using either a MediaTek or Allwinner CPU?!
That would place them on par with HP, which also did that. And they’d become a competitor to Best Buy itself, up against the Insignia Flex Elite 7.85. (It’s doubtful Best Buy would even care — money is money.)
The last we heard of Colorfly — at least in tablets that interested me — was their very low-end dual-OS iPad Mini clone, the i783 Pro.
It seems that’s never been released. Which, actually, is a good thing. Who’d want Windows on a 1024 x 768 screen?
If Colorfly’s hype is to be believed, their G808 tablet sold well. Their iPad and iPad Mini clones? Not so much.
And I have to think this will be a 4:3 aspect ratio tablet. If Google were to drop 4:3, they’d confuse the hell out of the market and exhibit no leadership abilities. Plus, developers would abandon apps for 4:3 since most tablets for Android are still maddeningly widescreen to suit video.
Imagine a Nexus-branded tablet selling for US$149. That’d be its likely price point. I can’t see US$199, but Google might think the Nexus brand is worth a premium despite the low-end guts. I don’t think the market would agree.

Blackview Dumps Its BV5000 in Paint and Freezes It in a Block of Ice
In the first video, the smartphone is dropped into a bucket of paint, left for 30 minutes, and cleaned up under running water with a large scrubber. After being cleaned up, the phone and its touchscreen still works. The second video shows the BV5000 frozen in a block of ice. It is then broken out of the block of ice and is used to make a call.
These videos show of the capability of the device to survive tough environments and rough treatment and the videos clearly show how durable the BV5000 is.
Aside from its rugged and durable exterior that is both shock and water proof, the BV5000 features a hefty 4750mAh battery, a quad-core processor, a 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The BV5000 will be available in pearl white and violet black when it is released although the company has yet to reveal and exact release date and pricing for the new device.
Tiny Elephone Q, a tiny phone with few surprises
I got my hands on with the ridiculously small Elephone Q last week, but at that time the phone lacked a final name and we weren’t sure of the hardware specifications.
Elephone have been quick to solve those slight issues and today they have informed us the cute little phone is going to be sold as the Elephone Q, and have confirmed all the hardware details.
Before I get in to the nitty gritty of the phone though you are all probably wondering just what the point of this phone is? Well I was too, and Elephone told me that the Q won’t just be a phone, but a wearable device!
You see the Elephone Q has all your standard Android phone features, but also gets activity tracking and pedometer features. The idea is the phone can be worn as a badge, around the neck on a chain or on your wrist with a band and take up both fitness tracker and phone duties.
Seeing as the Elephone Q only measures in at 90x 43 x 11.5mm the device has just a 2.54-inch TFT display with a resolution of 240 x 432. Yes, that is a display that is physically to small to type on!
Like every good smartphone the plastic bodied Q has front and rear cameras, SD memory card support for up to 64GB cards, WIFI, 3G WCDMA and an Android operating system (Android 4.4 Kitkat), running on a 1Ghz Mediatek chipset.
The tiny size also means just a small 550mAh battery, and just a single SIM slot. According to the official Elephone specifications the Q can hold enough charge for 110hours of standby or 4hours of talk time.
If you are still at a loss to understand why Elephone would launch the Elephone Q and who is going to buy such a device, then you are not on your own. Surely a decent entry level phone and cheap activity band would be cheap enough but offer better function?
What do you think of the tiny Elephone Q? Is it going to be the big surprise of 2015, or do you think it is a little lacking?

Elephone’s crowd funding event has the aim of an $89.99 smartphone
Anyone with a basic knowledge of business knows that the more you order the bigger the savings can be. The same is true for the smartphone market where the cost of producing only 100 phones would be much greater than producing 100,000 (based on a per unit cost). Normally, though the end-user wouldn’t see that saving, but these are not normal times.
Elephone’s latest scheme is to have customers reserve the upcoming Elephone Trunk phone. The Trunk normally retails at $119.99, but with guaranteed order of 300,000 phones that cost can be reduced to only $89.99 for the end user. To further entice you to take part, Elephone are also offering free Elephone Trunk phones to lucky people.
As the count stands, Elephone have 1387 users taking part in the even which has only cut the retail price by just a fraction. Do you think it is going to be possible for Elephone to meet their goal of an $89.99 Elephone Trunk phone?

Doogee X5 coming in 4 models and various UV protected colours from $49.99.
Doogee’s new plan of action is to launch fewer new models but then offer multiple variants of a particular device with varying specifications and cost.
We have seen them announce this with the 3 versions of the flagship Doogee F3, and they are also going to do the same with their entry-level Doogee X5 range.
The X5 will start at just $49.99 for a standard model with only 512mb RAM and 4GB storage but prices will rise to include more RAM and 4G LTE. We don’t know all the pricing info yet, but each phone will come in an option of either pink, yellow, green, blue, white or black with a protective UV coating to prevent the colours dulling over time.
More details can be had over on the official Doogee website.

Although the specifications are quite robust, one of the most interesting factors here is the fact the Pro runs Windows 10 right out the box. With its new tablet-centric navigation features Windows 10 is a powerful tool for the Chinese tablet.
Others specifications includes HDMI connection, Bluethooth 4.0, a 5.0MP rear camera and a 2.0MP front-facing camera that should be enough for video conferences, the device specs sheets also includes the ability to reproduce videos in the 4K resolution, there is a speed sensor and also a gravity sensor present in the package, everything powered by a 8000mAh battery.
The overall dimensions of the Teclast X98 are of 240mm x 169mm x 7.9mm and the Tablets constructions mixes plastic with some metal finish. New rumor says that 18.4-inch Samsung tablet is real, specs leak
A few weeks ago we got word that Samsung may be working on a gigantic 18.4-inch tablet thanks to an import listing. Back then, though, its existence was the only thing revealed. Yet now a new rumor comes to confirm it’s real, and even thankfully shares its most important specs.
So, this device will have the model number SM-T670. It will come with a TFT LCD touchscreen with just 1080p resolution, which makes for a measly 119 ppi pixel density. The tablet should also sport the Exynos 7580 SoC with a 1.6 GHz octa-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, an 8 MP rear camera, a 2.1 MP front-facing unit, and a 5,700 mAh battery.
It will allegedly run Android 5.1 Lollipop when it launches, and its dimensions are said to be 451.8 x 275.8 x 11.9 mm. There’s currently no telling when we’ll see it in stores, or how much it will cost. Though with that size we assume this will be targeted at some pretty niche use-cases.
Recently Samsung has also been rumored to be working on a 12-inch Windows 10 tablet, so the Korean company seems to be pretty serious about large (and extra large) tablets this year.
