Well I really dislike the iOS 10 multi page control center, so this could be an improvement. However it looks like the 11 version needs multiple interactions for things like scrubbing in a song, so it isn't a savings over needing to change screens to scrub…but it could be a huge win in having the control center always appear in a known state as opposed to being on music because two hours ago I did a music thing.
People will probably have a former opinion (myself included) after they start running the beta releases (or the real release later…if they are worried about making their phone crash or have battery issues…which are things that can happen with beta releases).
